Suppose Rudolph shines in camp, what are the chances we can trade Jones or Dobbs?

The Steelers will not be keeping four quarterbacks. One of these guys is likely getting cut, and my money is on Dobbs. But there is something better than letting a player go. A trade for draft picks. Could Landry Jones could draw some interest for a trade?

Well that was before mini camp. Rudolph made some plays according to Tomlin. Would you take say a 6th round pick for Jones if Rudolph looks good in camp?
 
They will not get rid of Jones this season. Not based on training camp and a few preseason games. I dont think Dobbs has a trade market. Someone interested will wait for the cut.
 
As much as we want Rudolf to succeed we will probably not lose Landry, this year. I bet he brings a fifth if traded. If for some reason Ben goes down, the real question is will CMVLT pull the trigger on Mason??? I hope Mason is far enough along to merit and If coach Tomlin follows his past, like Cowher did with Ben, he will give Mason Rudolf the nod. I don't see / want. Any substitute QB playing at all this season unless for mop up and V alignment.

They will keep Jones because "He knows the system". As we've seen many times with the Tombert regime, "He knows the system" very often trumps talent.
Dobbs is Just A Guy and JAGs little if any trade value.

When has he ever said they looked good? Very sparse with praise especially for young players..especially for football in shorts

Made plays....at OTAs....in shorts....without pads. This is your assessment to starting a topic about trading a QB?

Dobbs will be odd man out. Wasted 4th round pick that could have been used on defense in 2017. It will be Ben backed up by Jones with Rudolph bringing up the rear as the no. 3.
Rudolph’s time to back up Ben will be the 2019 season after Jones leaves.
Then we shall see how the young Mr. Rudolph has progressed. I’m betting he’ll be the eventual starter when Ben retires probably after 2019 or 2020 season.

Reread the part that says shines in camp. Not mini camp. One qb is getting cut. I’d rather get a draft pick than cut one of them.

Dobbs was a wasted pick. I can’t see anyone offering a pick for him. But Landry Jones could be worth something.

So why did you ask if Dobbs can be traded if you cant see anyone offering anything.. so which is it??
 
jones knows the system, but he sucks, he doesn't plant his feet well when throwing which is why when he has filled in for bell his passes have been hind or way ahead so often.

Landry either looks very good or very bad, there is no in-between. I think he does better when Ben gets hurt in a game and he doesn't have time to think about it. When Ben is out the next week and Landry knows he's playing and has all week to prepare is when he usually looks like ****.

Re-read the part about ....in shorts and without pads. There has been no contact in any rookie camp or OTAs. Nor will they have any in June at their next “camp”. There is no Senior Bowl or DVR’d Senior Bowl practices to evaluate Rudolph. So what’s your evaluation based on? If you can’t see any team offering a pick for Dobbs why start a thread about it?

Two things:

1) Tomlin does suck
2)Neither of those two guys have any value to any other team in the league
