I'm sure we're all cognizant of Mr. Tomlin's Steelers’ proclivity to flat-out suck against bad teams. OTOH, they do tend to play well against good/playoff teams. If they can win Sunday (yeah, I know) coupled with Rex Ryan's overwhelming desire to "schlong" his old team, IMO the Steelers can do a lot of damage in the playoffs. Outside of the Patriots, you do you fear? Granted, assuming we win the wildcard round, we'd then have to travel to Cheatsboro but I'm willing to put this offense up against the Patriots and hope our defense can somehow create some turnovers. I know, I'm engaging in some big wishful thinking but I'd rather do that than continue to get aggravated over Sunday's loss.

I fear no team in the playoffs - we won't be there. As long as New England takes an early exit, I really don't care about the Super Bowl this year. If New England is in it, I probably won't even watch.

If New England doesn't make it from the AFC, it will be a complete embarrassment for the NFL's big golden anniversary of the Super Bowl. Could you imagine them selling such a monumental game with Brock, A.J., Fitz, Smith or Weeden/Hoyer as the quarterback for one of the teams?

Wig?

Well, since they aren't in as of now, the question really is who do the Pats* fear? The Broncos have a choice between young Brock or old and busted Manning who hasn't played in a long *** time. The Bengals will have a shaken up McCaron or a shaken up Red Rifle and a team that hasn't won a playoff game in two and a half decades. There's Houston, Brandon Weeden, that's all that needs to be said there. And the Chiefs with Alex Smith, a team that just this year figured out how to throw TDs to WRs. And most likely then there's the Jets with Fitzpatrick who doesn't even know what the playoffs look like. Ughh...the AFC looks like utter garbage.

The fix is in... This year, SB50 will be a SB 1 rematch - Kansas City vs. Green Bay.

One could only hope, anything BUT the ******* *********** faget breath, ******* licking, **** hole, *****, ********, known as the cheatriots..... NOW, would you like to know anything else????

Salute the nation

It isn't who I fear, it is what I fear. And that is Tomlin's coaching. If somehow they made the playoffs (which is probably less than 25%) Mike would rub Blakes back trot him out there and play his ****** Tampa Two and get crushed against a good QB.

^^^
100% truth
steelers are not prepared on the defensive side of the ball to make a playoff push. Even if the offense gets their groove back

Great Headline in a Yahoo fluff piece... "Resolute Tomlin eyeing more pressure with season in balance"

IE "I'm Mike Tomlin, I'm an ***-Hat!"

How was the Ravens Tampa 2?

Ravens,Tampa 2 was great... When dumb *** team plays right into Tampa 2 design. Not so hot, if dumb *** team takes what Tampa 2 will give you.

In all honesty, I could see any of the following happening:

Scenario 1: Buffalo Wins, Steelers Win, Steelers make the playoffs, make some noise. (If I was drinking, I'd say win it all).

Scenario 2: Buffalo Wins, Steelers Lose, we **** ourselves again (that would be painful, but likely given what we saw Sunday).

Scenario 3: Buffalo Loses, Steelers, Win, we miss out and wonder what could have been had we not **** the bed so many times this year.

If we don't make it, my hope would be that there is an extremely controversial "no catch" call that mars Super Bowl 50 and forces them to define a catch. Maybe go back to the 80's rule where if you catch it, it is a catch. If you miss it, it's not a catch. Seriously though, there was never any doubt.

If we don't get in I will be pulling for Arizona whom I think has the best team on both sides of the ball and the best coach in the NFL in BA. This Steeler organization needs to take a good long hard look at itself from top to bottom and shake out the rust. Look at the front office, the GM and Head Coaches responsibilities, do they have the right assistant coaches, etc. I would definitely hand the reigns to the draft and F/A back to just Colbert and cut Tomlin out of that part of job responsibilities. Tomlin is to knee jerk reactionary and makes too many decisions from his gut rather than his brain. Let him coach the team not make player personnel decisions.

This is a personal preference thing. I know a lot of fans try to stay positive no matter what, until the bitter end, and then try to get positive about next season right away. That is not my personal preference. Losing to a terrible Ravens' team, in the manner we did, simply left too big a mark for me to just move on and be excited about this weeks games. Even if we win and Jets lose, I still realize that our inferior head coach will derail us regardless. No ring. No excitement. No positive feelings until we get a legit head coach.

I swear if he signs Boykin again next year I may go postal.

He plays him for 1/4 the snaps, throws away the entire season with crappy soft secondary play so he can reserve a ******* conditional late round pick and if he signs Boykin and makes him a starter next year I may ******* freak out. I just may. I mean like epic ******* super nut-job freak out.

I would be OK with that. I'll be fine with anyone but the Cheats making it from the AFC, even the Bungles. In the NFC, I don't really care, though I think I would enjoy the Cards making it. Especially if they got there and Palmer beat the Bungles, that would be hilarious.

Is Dalton done for the year? If he isn't this could be the year that the Bengals do well in the playoffs. If McCarron has to play then Tom Brady has a free pass to the Super Bowl. He'll be head and shoulders better than any quarterback in the AFC playoffs.

I've read that he won't be ready for the playoff opener and even if he does return, it isn't a guy that moves the meter much either, but certainly better than the rest of the guys on the list.
