Sunday game 49ers - Moncrief, Ola...

Sweed wouldn't admit he had a problem with his fingers either. Moncrief is better than Sweed, though. You would think the coaches would have him rest a couple weeks with no practice to let his fingers heal - something they apparently didn't do with Sweed. You know, learn from your mistakes.

Looks like Bud & TJ will start at OLB, with plenty of Ola worked in during the game.

Ola Adeniyi likely enters Sunday’s game at the San Francisco 49ers as the Steelers’ No. 3 outside linebacker behind starters Bud Dupree and T.J. Watt. And with the Steelers showing a tendency to rotate bodies at the position so far this season and with forecasted temperatures in the 80s for Sunday in Santa Clara, Adeniyi could have an opportunity for a significant role on defense.

I think most NFL WR's have ******-up fingers, if they play long enough. That's not to say Limas - and now Moncrief - didn't have significant hand/finger injuries. My sense with Moncrief, it's more a psychological thing with the drops, just trying too hard to be perfect. At least that's what he said in the locker room yesterday.

Here's former Lions great Calvin Johnson, for instance.

You should see Isaac Bruce's fingers.

Get Gilbert in some pass rushing sewts on a cross blitz

Yeah, this may be the game we see a lot of new faces out there, including Gilbert. Looks like it will be Barron & Bush to start inside w Gilbert/Matatevich in rotation.
