In the youth football I coach, we always employ weakside/ strongside defense depending which hash you play on. Now we play 4-3 not 3-4, but we always put our best atlhlete DE to the wide or strong side with our second best player of that ilk at SAM. Furthermore our best corner plays cover or wide side and our second best plays boundary or weak. Then we take a kid who is super aggressive, and strong with low speed and put him as the weak side rusher or Will Linebacker. Is this a 3-4 vs. 4-3 schematic difference or do the Steelers just not believe in that concept because they never seem to set their defense by anything but left or right.
