Steven Johnson, L.J. Fort, and Tyler Matakevich.

I'd say just cause he's young and has a lot of potential. I think he can turn into a high quality starter for the Steelers soon. There is just something about his attitude and demeanor that makes you root for him. Haven't really got to see too much of him this pre season other than the Philly game, and from that short series he looked all over the place despite his lack of speed. I think with a bit more coaching into Butler's system, we can say Tomlin and co got a steal in the draft

Lol.

He's a better athlete than Fort and Johnson.
Huh??? Are talking about the same guy???
My question is if there is a serious cap savings by cutting Timmons now. If Williams is the future and isn't a serious drop off and dirty red, Fort and Johnson are capable backups can that salary be unloaded now with the eye to grabbing a corner or something on cuts.

Not in a year that we are so close to getting back (yes, I know the season hasn't started as yet; but, I just got that feeling - perhaps both Harrison and Timmons go out on top???

Given the way Carolina ran up the middle we might want to cut all 3 and resign Timmons long term!

I love the way Fort has played this preseason. I don't understand why folks prefer Dirty Red to Fort --- is it just that newer is always better or draft picks are always better than just that we didn't draft???

I'd keep him and Johnson. Dirty Red will clear waivers and land on the practice squad.

Unfortunately I did not watch most of the preseason it was hard to stomach at times. Just because someone is more athletic certainly does not make them better. Look at guys like farrior and Foote. Timmons could run circles around them, but I would take either one in their prime over Timmons. I think people put too much stock into measurables. If it is close you have to take the better football player over the better athlete.

Farrior could run. Although Foote wasn't the greatest athletically. I'd take him over Timmons too. Those guys were better football players than Timmons. Fast forward to 2016 which is how some of us feel about Matakevich

I do hope he makes it as he is young and has a higher ceiling than SJ but I think the latter can be more helpful to the team Right Now, especially in ST where we are looking horrible

Steven Johnson Cut.

Dirty Red makes the team.
