Depends on definition of “casual”.

Many fans don’t know lineman on either side. Heck most analysts & writers don’t know lineman.

Nice article Brandon, thank you.

I like Tuitt a lot but Cam Heyard is just as special. What's really special is when both of them are on the field at the same time. We've missed that in the past due to injury and such but it sure will be nice to see elevated play while both are on the field of play.

doesnt turning it up a notch also mean not giving 100% before hand?
Sounds like he is just trying to psych himself up. Also sounds like some echoed coach speak. "We have to play at another level to advance men".

The thing I find about Tuitt and Heyward as I have seen both of them appear unblockable when the other was hurt and not in the game. If they could both bring that for a sustained period at the same time look out.

That was my first thought too Blitz.

He needs to turn it up a notch just to get back to where he was before getting his contract. Hope he does. If he, Heyward, Watt and Highsmith play to their potential, they can get after any QB. Throw in a Hilton, Vinnie or Spillane blitz every so many plays and we should get to Baker a good bit. Put a hurtin on him this week.

I don't know about holding out and NOT giving 100% as I think that could be the case at times but NOT neccessarily the normal. I set a course record in KAYAKING, 72miles. I gave it my all through out the WHOLE race but the last 8 miles I found a STEP UP and gave an elevated level, up a notch.

Tuitt is reffering to parts of slash's post #7 and PART of actually stepping it up a notch. Just the thought of "holding back" would most likely not apply to an actual athlete who is performing under insentive / pride / team / work & train towards endlessly amongst many other aspects.

I get the thought pattern but just wanted to show the other side.

I get people's comments about the quote, but it is really just a stock statement. The intensity of playoff football ramps up one more notch and so does your play. To me Tuitt is at his most effective when he is walking the guard back. We need to see that three or four times today. He will get the matchup. They will be doubling Heyward with bitonio (sp? and I don't give a **** about his grey faceless name? lol) out. Tuitt has to win his one on one matchup multiple times today.
