Here are the guys who I think could/ should have upward movement in their game that are necessary for this team to get where we all hope they will.
Defense:
Tuitt: Needs to move from solid/ flashing to pro bowl type player. Doesn't have to actually be elected because his position doesn't garner that type of attention.

Dupree: The team needs some type of stud at OLB. 8-10 sacks type. The rest can be pieced from Harrison, Moates and Jones.

Shazier: Needs to be probowl type. He has all the skills and assets, should know the defense inside and out and should be hitting his peak.

Cockrell: Needs to play like a starter that doesn't cost you. That will free up Burns, Gohlson and possibly Grant to have a young guy slot cover impact without being thrown to the wolves.

Offense:
Wheaton/ Coates: Someone has to play like a bonafide number two and the other has to be a strong asset particularly on big play opportunities. Wheaton has been number two by committee in the past.

Villeneauva/ Harris: Like Cockrell at corner they need a LT that doesn't have to be Pro Bowl by any means. Just middle of the pack, dependable.

Green: Fairly big money laid out on speculation. He needs to step up and be a top half of the league TE.

Now obviously if 1/2 to 2/3 of these guys make good progress that would be good if not great. In my opinion the rest of the team has either plateaued at a very high level or is a filler player that is what he is.

Defense:
Tuitt: Needs to move from solid/ flashing to pro bowl type player. Doesn't have to actually be elected because his position doesn't garner that type of attention.I think his off season workouts and normal continued growth will give him a fighting chance.

Dupree: The team needs some type of stud at OLB. 8-10 sacks type. The rest can be pieced from Harrison, Moates and Jones. I think we will see improvement just sort of a mystery how much.

Shazier: Needs to be probowl type. He has all the skills and assets, should know the defense inside and out and should be hitting his peak. Injuries or lack there of will tell his tale.

Cockrell: Needs to play like a starter that doesn't cost you. That will free up Burns, Gohlson and possibly Grant to have a young guy slot cover impact without being thrown to the wolves. Thinking what we saw last year is what we will get. Hoping he can hold the fort down long enough, until someone takes over.

Offense:
Wheaton/ Coates: Someone has to play like a bonafide number two and the other has to be a strong asset particularly on big play opportunities. Wheaton has been number two by committee in the past. Wheaton is in a contract year, we will see his best whatever that may be. Coates is like Dupree for me somewhat of a mystery moving forward.

Villeneauva/ Harris: Like Cockrell at corner they need a LT that doesn't have to be Pro Bowl by any means. Just middle of the pack, dependable. I think we are solid at the position.

Green: Fairly big money laid out on speculation. He needs to step up and be a top half of the league TE. The third mystery, he also falls along with the Shazier will he stay healthy this year. And how slow will he be out of the gates recovering from injury?

Now obviously if 1/2 to 2/3 of these guys make good progress that would be good if not great. In my opinion the rest of the team has either plateaued at a very high level or is a filler player that is what he is.

I agree with your outlook on the's players. And if half of the mystery players show improvement the tram should be better.

Well said. I think Villa is the starter and he will be improved this year. He has the size to be a monster!
