#Steelers have saved the following money thus far:

McDonald retirement: $5.2 million
Pouncey retirement: $8 million
2020 rollover: $4.95 million

Still some moves to be made, but Pittsburgh is on the right path to erasing their cap

When I see more I will post it.

18 mil already saved.

Which tells me that seasonal meltdown some of yinz do over the cap might have to wait another year.

We have no money for this we have no money for that!

And they haven't did one restructure.

Things are looking up.

The Rooney's have been business me for a long time. It makes sense that they can manipulate the "cap" to the full extent with an end-game within sight. They have managed up against the cap for a long as most can Remeber. They also find a way to take care of their own and manage to remain winners to boot.

Currently Kohn is out "master craptologist" and he seems to do a VERY fine job at that.

Sure one can say we extend into the future to much but we seem to get the best years of most players and seem to come through in the end.

Before you guys get too excited. They have no center, their tight end cannot and will not block. they cleared some money. They have about 12 more to clear just to get under. This team really really needs to do a deep cleaning.

They can get a good blocking TE in the draft. They will bring in and draft a C. Without knowing the cap we don't know how much they need to clear but 12 mil doesn't sound like a mission impossible task. I won't get too excited but I won't jump either.

Depends on how you look at it. Dupree and Juju aren't the type of players who get away usually but their rocket mortgage math has them gone. I'd prefer to kinda sacrifice 2021 to get to a new spot in 2022.
I was good with most of the moves up until this year. You had to try with Ben there. They pushed in this year. They crapped out. Time to clean it up.

Steelers still way over cap, without considering the rookie costs. If they keep Ben, they will need to clear another $25 million while filling LT, C, RB, TE, CB and S spots.

Steelers cap isn't looking like an impossibility anymore. Based on $185M cap with money gained from rollover and Pouncey/McDonald retirements, a Big Ben voidable years extension would put them within compliance. 97 and 91 restructures, 22 extension allows own free agent signings
Sounds familiar.:applause:

I know there are a lot of gloom and doom'ers out there but every year our "craptologist" always seems to come up a winner. I'm going to practice patience and see what happens. BEN will be figured out soon and then they will go from there.
