By Justin McGonigle www.SteelerNation.com This morning the Tennessee Titans reported positive coronavirus tests for three players, and five personnel employees. This of course is news to SteelerNation considering the Steelers next opponent is … The Tennessee Titans. It’s been a whirlwind of reports so far this morning since the news broke, and it continues to […]

Gotta hope this ***** with their game prep and gives us an upper hand.

Also who are the three players? It could be significant losses.

Hope they play, but curious what happens if they cannot. Doubtful they have the same bye-week. They probably should have went 15 games allowing for one covid week per team in week 16

posted this in another thread:
some speculation that they will make this a bye week for PIT, TEN, TEX, and Vikes.

For us, they would move our game with BAL from week 7 to week 8 (our scheduled Bye). Balt keeps their week 7 bye. We play the **** week 7 (**** scheduled bye)

Well the Steelers will get ****** by the schedule makers here. Going to have to play Titans in Week 7 then have to play Baltimore coming off their BYE week. Complete BS!

#1 Hasn't happened yet
#2 No one is getting ******, we all knew this could happen & simpy finding any make up date could be problematic
#3 There may be more issues like this down the road for other teams as well, or even us again
#4 Why is no one concerned about the Steelers catching anything from Titans?

Absolutely no reason not to be 5-1 worst going into week 7. Play Titans and Ravens back to back(win one) and you are 6-2 going into the midpoint with plenty of winnable games. I could live with that.

I think rescheduling and shifting would be a bad idea as it has the potential to open up a Pandora’s box of problems in determining playoff teams once the NFL runs out of options and has to cancel games or award forfeits.

To answer number 4...they are all young, very healthy, world class athletes....Science tells us even if they happen to catch it, which is rare, they will not become very ill...maybe a day or two of some minor inconveniences for them....

You know like the olden days when it was called "getting a cold"...

Just my 2 cents from were I sit..

Just my oversimplification ..

HIPPA laws might be in place here..

They put them on the list and it gets announced.

The team announced that defensive lineman DaQuan Jones and long snapper Beau Brinkley had been placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list, along with practice squad tight end Tommy Hudson.

Per PFT

One is their RT. Not sure about the other two. They already had a DB on the list from last week too. 5 of those that were tested positive were coaching/training personnel.

Titans fan here. Our nt Jones and long snapper are the 2 players I have seen confirmed.

Edit: got a read the whole thread before I post. 😏

Outside the vivid talk how are you all feeling about this game?

its a tough match up. I love Henry's style and game. He is a Locomotive coming through the line. Our defense is fast but Henry concerns me a bit. He will get yards and could jam up the Titans TOP. That said, we have so many weapons on offense, a solid line up front and can score. Ben continues to find his precision and timing coming off the injury last year. Overall, I feel pretty good. That said, Titans will be a test.

Sucks about the Rona tests. Going to impact your teams prep work. I like winning, but I like beating teams at their best.

Love to hear your thoughts?

Aj brown looks like a no go if we play on time. We may get out best cb in adora back for the game. Not sure how I lean right now with how good your pass rush has been that looks troublesome.

I think it is a good matchup and will be a game by a few points. My only reservation about making more of judgment for the game is both teams have beat crap teams and this vivid stuff.

Edit: new phone and the auto correct is a giant piece of crap.

Lauging my *** off! I hate autocorrect. I wanna own my mistakes, not Microsofts or Googles.

I don't worry so much about "who" teams beat. Every game in the NFL is a test. For us, our first three opponents are 0-3, but their opponents are somethign stupid like 24-3. Giants, Donks, and Texans all played tough teams. The important thing is to win. You get who you get on you schedule - play the cards dealt.

We do have a great pass rush, but philosophically Tomlin is a run stuffer first. If we can hold Henry from doing too much damage, I like our chances. Have to believe our Defensive key is stopping him. Your offensive key is to get him going. On our offense, our key going to be play mistake free and spread it around to all our playmakers. What do you think y'all will do defensively against us?

What do you see as your teams strengths and weaknesses?

Welcome Cal. We love having knowledgable fans from other teams around these parts!

LS is a big deal. It's tough to find someone on the fly to snap. I hope it doesn't mess with Gostkowski, he's running the gambit of highs and lows this year. Excellent rebound game out of him last week though.

This is a battle of strength vs strength. You have one of the best RBs in the game, and he's a nightmare to bring down. Our D just set a franchise record for fewest yards allowed on the ground for the first 3 games of their history! Something has to give.

Tannahill and Ben are essentially the same QB this year. Similiar production and don't turn the ball over.

How is your backup looking at offensive tackle. That's a tough draw getting Bud or Watt every rush down. Your team has done a great job protecting your QB, It may be a little tougher playing the who do you double and who do you let 1 on 1 game. It's also difficult since we have 9 players with at least a partial sack. This is a tough team to stop from pressuring the QB.

I like our WRs and TEs, but you also have a nice defense. It did let up a lot of points to MIN last week. Ben is improving and hitting all of his targets. If he's on, the talented pass catchers may overwhelm the schemes.

Our top target Diontae Johnson has a concussion, so we have to see if and when he clears protocol.

Our ST coverage is strong, and return game is dangerous. We have a great kicker and a meh punter. You guys could break some plays on punt return if he keeps kicking low liners.

Looking forward to the matchup. Let's hope it goes off without a hitch!

My Fiance caught that "Cold". Had her on a respirator for 4 days. She's been negative for 3 weeks, is still weak and lost 25 lbs. Don't think they caught "Colds" like that in the olden days. Unless of course you're talking about the Spanish Cold of1918.

Henry has been very consistent this year but not breaking long runs. The passing game is the same as last year. Low volume but very efficient. Our d has been very suspect. Inguries all over the place. Kicking game looked like problem week 1 but he has been good after that.

If you want something more in depth just ask. I have not watched you all this year how do you feel about your team?

Secondary gives up more than we like but overall all units are solid. Especially in the trenches, pass rush, and WR depth. BigBen is still knocking the rust of being off the majority of last season but is coming along well. Our run D has been special as the already mentioned pass rush.
