Steelers select in the 2nd Round

I firmly believe Ben is better with big strong guys who go up for the ball over tall guys who play small. For all his height what did they get on the deep ball with Bryant they didnt get from juju.

Who wrote that article? I read another one that said he has long arms to make up for his height.

Washington and JuJu together on the field are gonna boss DB's around. They're gonna be a handful. This guy makes me think Hines Ward more than anything. Maybe the Steelers still add a deep threat guy later. Washington actually plays plenty fast enough on the field, that's all that matters, not his 40 time.

My only beef if you lost your deep threat, he should be replaced by a deep threat type, which Washington really isn't.

So you haven't watched this guy either, huh? You realize he averaged almost 21 YPC last season w/ 13 TDs, 1549 yards (most in college) and won the Biletnikoff award for being the nation's top WR?

And the guy is physical. Has a little Hines Ward in him to boot.

Like the Rudolph pick, hate the Dobbs pick last year. Waste of a pick then and a waste of a pick now.

Martavis Bryant and a Seventh for a guy some projected in tge first round to us. How about that *******.

Love Rudolph! Great we didn't waste a 1st on him!

Now get Griffith with the last pick!

I know that his abilities are pretty good but the fact of one hand makes me root for him all the MORE !!!!!!!!!

Salute the nation

Washington is a good enough deep threat to replace Bryant. Good trade and good pick.

Some of his attributes from NFL.com:

  • Escapes press with good initial quickness
  • Vertical talent averaging just over 20 yards per catch over last three years
  • Awkward early steps into route develop into powerful, driving strides eight yards in
  • Surprises cornerbacks with build up speed and consistently gets by them
  • Accelerates from stems on post routes and creates open deep looks for quarterbacks
  • Tracks balls like a centerfielder racing for the warning track
  • Adjusts speed to match ball flight and keeps cornerbacks stacked
  • Able to go up and come down with the deep ball with the best of them
  • Deep speed creates cushion for comeback routes underneath
  • Flashes runaway speed after catch or will get physical to add critical yardage
  • Worked outside and from slot
