Steelers release 8 players

The Pittsburgh Steelers announced several roster moves Sunday morning, releasing eight players


The eight players released are: QB JT Barrett, RB Ralph Webb, WR Quadree Henderson, OL Christian Montano, OLBs Christian Kuntz and Dewayne Hendrix, S Tyree Kinnel, and DE Josiah Coatney.

Josiah Coatney, waived today by the Steelers, was given the largest signing bonus by the team of the rookie UDFAs at $15,000. He'll count $5K against the 2020 cap as dead money and $10K against the 2021 cap as dead money.

The Steelers also gave Christian Montano a $2,500 signing bonus so $833 should count as dead money in 2020 with another $1,667 counting as dead in 2021
