Steelers/Raven Moved to Sunday

Steelers already prepped for a Thursday night game and while not ideal, it was at home and would've turned into a mini bye week with the extra few days of rest heading into December.

This doesn't protect anyone ("out of an abundance of caution"). The Rats have it and don't want to keep the contract trace players from playing.
 
Not sure I understand the decision. There should be no way those Raven players identified with the China flu should be able to play Sunday.....right?

BS....next man up. if the Steelers made the AFCC and lost 4 players to injury in the previous playoff game would they have an ounce of pity?
 
I was getting a bad feeling about the Thursday game. It had all the earmarks of an upset. Ravens on the ropes. Lamar Jackson taking all kind of heat. Depleted roster. No chance of winning. We’ve seen this script before.

For me, moving the game to Sunday changes the dynamics a bit. Now the storyline has changed to the Steelers getting screwed yet again.

The Steelers really had little to play for on Thanksgiving, which made them vulnerable, but something tells me Mike Tomlin is going to use this latest dig for motivation.

What happens now if the close contacts test positive from now and Sunday. Push the game again?
 
Something tells me there is more to this story. Ryan Clark made an interesting point. He said the Ravens missing four players was like an injury report. He was advocating for the game to go on as scheduled (before the announcement). Makes me wonder if there weren’t additional positives between Tuesday and Wednesday. Why else would they suddenly change gears, when they were so adamant yesterday that the schedule wouldn’t change?

They just added an additional 2 positives....now up to 7 players.

I felt the opposite. Home primetime game off a short week. Color rush uniforms. Ben and the team getting zero respect from the national media had a chance to respond in front of a huge nationwide audience.
 
The league has definitely shafted the Steelers twice now. At the very least, they owe the city of Pittsburgh another home Thanksgiving game when this is over and probably a little input into the scheduling of their bye week next season.

Just heard this on the radio - 7 players now.

But I had also read the Ravens had been told by the NFL they were playing unless 10+ came up positive. Perhaps they expect more to come.

Now, does pushign it to SUnday change the missing players? I don't think so. If they were positive tests, they have to sit out for 10 days, no? If it close contact, it is 5 days. If they were close contact yesterday, then Sunday would be the fifth day and those tests don't come back till Sunday night from what we have learned.
 
Since I live on the left coast I probably won't get to see it. Thanks Hairball.
 
I’m sure Harbaugh whined like a ***** until he got the game pushed. Ravens just played a tough OT game vs the Titans and were probably worn out from that and just want the extra recovery days.

This sucks for the Steelers because with their Bye being so early in the season, they could have used this long 10 days off after Thanksgiving.
 
Wonder if NFL will move the other game times. They should move the early game to later in the day. Since there are little to no fans involved, you can actually do it. I’m sure west coast people would rather that.
