My two and a half cents:

Oh what a night. It was like the team was out there playing hungry hippo, players were hungry to show with their jobs on the line.

And the fans were loving it. Even Joe Manganiello and Sofia Vergara were on hand to root the team on.

How much hotter she was to me after this response to a mean tweet (celebrities responding to twitter comments)

Go to 2:21, yinz life will be changed forever.

Clear my mind and back to football.

Two good performances by Dobbs and Rudolph -who shined so bright. Both led the slaughter tonight.

But Xmas jingles aside you have to wonder if Rudolph did enough to

leap frog Dobbs on the night. As impressive as Dobbs was athletically, Mason showed poise in the pocket. Now it is who will be traded between Dobbs and Jones. I think we know which one the majority of SteelersNation is rooting for.

I call him Ola, I am a fan-ah - as he managed yet another preseason sack. You hope that hammy injury doesn't roadblock him a spot on the roster.

Justin probably Huntered down a spot on the roster again. Like one fan said in one thread, you would think Big Ben would lobby for him to have a spot. He showed long ball capable with another decent performance.

ILBer Mathew Thomas showed he is playmaker capable, and no fan will be cramping up when he makes the roster. He has had a solid off-season.

Ridley ran like his job was on the line, and it was. You have to wonder with his camp injuries limiting his playing time. If it is too little too late.

Brian Allen was a mixed bag but overall rebounded from a rough showing last week. A lot of talent at CB, you wonder who will draw the short straw.

Sutton had his worst CB showing in memory. I mean they dinked and dunked their way on him to a TD. But it wasn't like he was burnt deep. I doubt it effects his positioning.

Switz Army knife didn't blow it up on returns. But he did show some shiftiness and good hands. And lets face it, that should be good enough to give him the nod over Croissant.

Berry with some nice hang time, a difficult final decide for the coaches. Oh what punter to keep -sigh.

I thought Zach Banner showed well. But where is their room for another O-lineman ?

Go ahead and given Levon the Hooks but I hope he makes the PS.

I don't recall the coaches having as many difficult decisions to make on personal as these coaches have tomorrow. This will be a LOT different team than last year and they should go deep into and W-I-N the Super Bowl. I realize a lot can happen along the way with health / player inclusion / distractions etc.. If our new coaching staff is enough to elevate the existing over last year then we really do have a chance and as a VERY LOYAL LIFETIME STEELERS FAN I'm excited. Sing along "I'm so excited"

The QB situation is the first time in a while that final cuts aren't hinging mostly on who the special teams coach likes the best. Fort, Chickillo, Toussaint, DHB, & possibly others I'm not thinking of are special teams guys that are reliable but getting pushed by bubble guys that may not add that specific value. 6wr? 5ilb? 5olb? 4rb? These always seem to be the question marks on players 50-53-ish. A couple of times a 9th ol creeps in. But now 4 qbs. Its a good problem to have and I hope they get maximum value out of dealing somebody.

Thomas better get a hat for game #1. He's too good not to play. I'd start him over Bostic right now.

I just read Thomas injured his knee in the game. Anyone know about that? No details were given. He deserves a roster spot and playing time with the potential to become a starter.

To bad so many won't make the cut. I loved the last two games the aggressive play of the young guys. The tackling and coverage was way more then we witnessed a year ago. I love the rush of 92 that I can't say his name Ola to bad he got hurt. Tomlin is going to have to make some hard calls if he takes in to account how these guys want to play.

I saw in a tweet that Thomas was having his knee looked at by trainers. Tomlin did not mention it in the presser though, so it may be over reporting. I did add him to the injury tracker though.

Thomas will get a hat. No question. He's a core special teams player that will be in on sub packages. They named the Seminole package after him, so I expect him in 3rd and longs.

Crud. If he's going to be out 1-2 weeks, Tomlin better not move him to IR. I have a feeling we are going to need Thomas this year.

I wouldn't shed a tear if Chickillo were cut. He's just a dude at there, does nothing special.

Same here. On a side note, I read that the Steelers had their 3rd largest output of points (average of 30 PPG) in the preseason ever. Granted, it's preseason, but that's a good sign. I've liked the way the offense has moved and put points on the board under Fichtner.

Chickillo is the top candidate that I think Kozora at Depot was suggesting they move on from. The sticking point is how hard Danny Smith lobbies for keeping him over whoever else.

Cope, Thomas had a leg cramp. He was back in a few plays later. Charlie was talking about how Norwig and the CAR bench trainers were laughing about it. Since the telecast director there on the field was waving them to get him off the field now.

That's good news Ike. I'm glad he wasn't hurt.

And our Team wouldn't IR a guy they can get back in a week or 2, just to save a roster spot

BTW guys, players have to be ROSTERED initially to be placed on IR. It's not an either or. Only the preseason PUP is a free pass to the roster at this point, and only Eli is eligible.
