So size matters Pop?

:biggrin-new:

Gilbert is now about 320

Didn't Knoll make his bones with small powerful ( maybe juiced ) mobile guys that started trap blocking as they exited the locker room ? I'm not convinced that monsters are that much more valuable than tacticians. Today's players are bigger all round but I think the athlete outplays size all day.

The listed weights are often bogus.

IMO, we have three star players on OL. DeCastro, Gilbert, and Pouncey.

Foster is solid in our system, and Villanueva was serviceable in his first season starting.

Villanueva is the reason our size average went up. By grades I think he's 4th or 5th best, playing the most important positon.

I love it! SMASH MOUTH!

Who is this "Knoll" you speak of?

It certainly can, but not always. Tell that to a Honey Badger.

Honey Badger is low enough to just explode up into a bigger ball carrier. Sometimes being small has its advantages

I really do hope we return to choking out teams at the end of games and controlling the ball. Not because I want to go back to old-timey football (although I did like it) but mostly to keep our suspect pass D off the field.

But lets be honest Villaneaueva was playing on athleticism and heart. He probably has barely scratched the surface of experience. I would expect him to make a pretty large jump this season with all the reps he will get to prepare for the season.
