We needed a new thread that would get the 'ol Steeler Nation juices flowing....

I know with all the injuries, and our record, the big names aren't getting much pro bowl love, but I stand firm that DeAngelo Williams needs to be getting the nod from players and fans alike. Additionally, like the article highlights, Cam Heyward should be in the hunt as well. Probably playing some of the best 3-4 DE position this year to date.

Dri Archer! (There I got it out of the way)

Gilbert, De Castro and AB on offense. Heyward and maybe Timmons on defense.

Da fuq you say? Archer didn't get any votes???

I hope none of our guys get picked. With the way the injury bug has been biting any one that does get picked is liable to wind up paralyzed.

Yep I'm just dreading the "Antonio Brown and Martavis Bryant spontaneously combusted at practice today"

Sorry but timmons isn't close to a pro bowl player

This day and age, who really is??? If you think the "fan" voting / opinion matters, then you need to be introduced into the "new nfl" , the place where the $$$$$$ drives everything. Before the voting even starts, the nfl knows who is who is not going to make it. Obviously there are exceptions, but for the most part they are set. Vote manipulation, up or down, is pretty easy to do. Bottom line, MOST could care less as long as the W / L is to the plus and play off bound. Timmons is playing pretty good, unless you've got the inside scoop on his assignments.

Salute the nation

Timmons is playing pretty good? For having the highest cap number on the team not named Ben my expectations are a bit higher.

It is very hard to say on the oline. A lot of that is name recognition. Certainly, they have played well as a unit. I think there is a strong case to be made for Heyward, but you would have to do the film to recognize that as I doubt his stats would necessarily reflect his play. Obviously Brown will go. Timmons, meh. This team is getting abused by tight ends. That should be him and Shazier. Sorry, I disagree on that one.

Brown,Heyward, and DeCastro gets my vote...

since he was in the pro bowl last year I would say he is at least close to being a pro bowl player. Timmons could rack up 300 tackles and 24 sacks and some guys on here would complain about him. Not you in particular, but I just don't get the continued disrespect of one our best players

only guys that should be considered are DeCastro Gilbert @ Brown.

Just love the fact that they list starters only. Not saying Bud Dupree SHOULD be a pro-bolwer, just that he should be at least as much of an option to vote for as JJ or Moats.

would peeps vote in a backup player?

I noticed they have the wrong fullback listed for the Steelers.

I will say this. Ben has received a offensive player of the week twice now. If he has some big performances in the stretch run, people should overlook stats and he should be voted in despite injuries. But he won't
