The Pittsburgh Steelers’ General Manager Omar Khan silenced his critics in a big way by pulling off a blockbuster trade to bring DK Metcalf to the Steel City. On Sunday night, the Seahawks traded Metcalf to Pittsburgh in exchange for the Steelers’ second-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. I think Aiyuk played Omar. He had no intention of coming here.

Omar should have set a deadline for a deal to go down last season with Aiyuk and SF. To let it drag on as it did was idiotic. You set a deadline and move on to option B. Holding out hope for option A hurt the team last season. We now will be scrambling to sign a QB this season. Do we keep low balling offers to every QB? Or do we make an offer where a QB can't resist?
