I dont think there is any negative light on the team. He is a first year PS player not a 1st round draft. They didn't vet him. No one would have and his cut papers will be filed as soon as they are allowed to. What can you do.

After reading the allegations, it's obviously a case of a dumb player, hooking up with a low level woman. This is how it frequently plays out. Even if it's a case of him protecting himself from a crazy woman, when you snatch her up to stop her, it's going to bruise her up, and make it look as though you were beating her ***. Moral of story, stop hooking up with these girls you meet in clubs and such. These things don't usually happen to players who have a quality woman.
