By G.Stryker SteelerNation.com The 2018 season ended up being one of the healthiest seasons on record.* Steelers players missed 204 games, up from 78 games last year. That may seem like a significant increase, but the Steelers placed 9 players on IR (Injured Reserve) before the season started.* The only significant player was Jerald Hawkins, […]

And still missed the playoffs..............................

There should be compensation in there for little titties lactating titties........ Some games he played his play was offset by his mental combating.

"G", nice write up and insight. I'm glad you take the time to do these as I'm sure most here are as well. Thank You.

Our Coaching should have been playing Conner a little more lightly so as he would last the entire season. I know Tomlin is of the "run his wheels off" mentality but I think this year it is spread out just a little bit more as Fichnter is probably a little more seasoned and prepared as well. Between Snell & J-Sam, should an injury occur, I don't think there is as much impediment as there was last year.

PLUS our RT position will be filled and maned A-ok, even with Gilbert's release.

Just a hunch, but Boz was hurt long before the last game of the season.

He best be ready both health & MENTAL and I'm NOT talking some ***** from the bar.......... MENTAL TOUGH is what he best be and ready. I hope Tomlin has a contingency plan........ But I'm thinking the BOZ will step up to meet the challenge and excell at doing so but even so you best be ready the worse case.

Mathew is either the Wright man for the job or wide Wright.

All things end equal perhaps it should favor Wright. Otherwise I suppose you go with Boz and hold your breath.

DIC, you're right, we're thick at tackle depth this year. When I was doing my injury reviews I saw Gilbert missed 20 games the last 2 seasons. That alone was probably the biggest reason why he wasn't resigned.

I hear yaz Cope and one can't miss what one doesn't have. 12 games in two years is more like back up than starter. We will be OK

Turnovers,Drama, not replacing Shazier and the miss FGs were some of the reasons why the Steelers missed the Playoffs.

And lack of defensive created turnovers very few INTs as well as fumble recoveries. Last SB winners can confirm that statistical issue. Also an Conner injury, a D that couldn't hold a lead, Poor in game decisions, poor free agency elections. There was enough issues to not put a stamp on one area.

Lost two of the three games he was down.
The raider game was a fiasco. With Tomlin holding Ben out too long, poor d., And Boswell missing a game tying fFG. Etc.
Samuels led all Steeler rushers with28 yrds on 11 carries. Was this the game Ridley fumblled and went to the doghouse?
The other game lost without Connor , Samuels gained 53 yrds on 11 carries against the saints. 4+ yrs average. This is the game juju fumbled with a min left.

Doesn't matter how much Boz ***** up. They'll keep him for at least half the season because of what they're paying him. Don't get me wrong, I think he got paid fairly based on his 2017 season but the money ****** with his head last year and the money (and pressure) are still going to be there this year.

Turnovers,Drama, not replacing Shazier and the miss FGs and of course COACHING.. were some of the reasons why the Steelers missed the Playoffs.

I thought that's what I read.!

I say Brown was the biggest factor for tis team tanking. Games should have never gotten to the place where the kicker is the difference. Tomlins lack of control on Brown actions on sidelines, for all to see and whatever was going on in the locker room with Browns ego divided the team and sat home in playoffs for it.

The same people criticizing Tomlin for letting AB 'ruin a lockerroom', won't give him credit for removing AB from the team...

The fire caused third degree burns and considerable damage. Can we applaud the firestarter for finally putting the fire out?

I remember reading, I forget the exact numbers, but the team had something like 8 turnovers all season and T.J. Watt was responsible for 4 of them.

8 INTs and 7 FR for 15 total takeaways

Watt forced 6 fumbles, but the stats are misleading. Steelers D forced 12 total fumbles, so Watt had half of them. Steelers only recovered 8 fumbles on the season on D, and Watt had none of them.
