How the hell do we get screwed every year with comp picks? Only a 4th? ****, some thought we should get a 3rd but would get screwed into getting the 4th but the 2nd comp pick in the 6th was pretty much a given. WTF!
And, as usual, the Cheatriots get the 2 highest comp picks.
I mean who shall question the super secret formula used to calculate this that seems to reward the same teams every year no matter what they lose or gain
I don’t think anyone can really explain it to you but in short the formula is apparently based on free agents lost compared to who we signed. It’s also dependent upon how much they sign for and playing time.
See they magically assign values to all free agents signed... then the clump them in tiers... then they do the same free agents lost... then they cancel them out tier by tier
then some pixies fart on the result and blend it with unicorn burps...
then they assign the greatest deficits a comp pick, limited to four per team and whatever total they set overall so if your values fall under those totals you get ****

The Steelers have been slotted with a fourth for Hargrave since the experts made predictions after last year's free agency so this was expected. Next year could be a huge year for comp picks for the Steelers. Maybe even a couple of thirds.

They're saying we just moved from 141 to 140 (yahoo) because SF was inadvertently given two third round picks but will only receive one. Also read somewhere we were on the border for one in the sixth because Finney signed elsewhere last year. Well he basically didn't play this year so if it was close with another team for an additional pick, we were screwed

I am lost on how NE gets all these picks. They bring players in and let them go every week, how do they have all this cap money with all this continued making deals with players.
Right they added that but didn’t expand the total number of comp picks accordingly....

That doesn't quite seem right............ Someone needs to get the formula straightened out...... Like any of us would even know. The comp-picks formula is meant to be incompetent .

publishing the formula would mean the NFL can't rig the picks for particular teams.
So go back to that chart
weird how that chart shows us spending virtually nothing on ufas but we are so far behind on comp picks lol

Look Dick, The Steelers should get 4 comp picks next year, Starting with a 3rd for Dupree.
There's a very good web site that says the Steelers have four of them NOW, though Alualu is currently a 7th and will be bumped off the list once a few people sign for more. Fear not Ju-Ju and Big Al are likely worth something. I'll guess a 4th for the over rated Ju-Ju. Now go back to you trailer.
