Mason Rudolph got the start for the Steelers tonight, but the big stage looked to be a bit much for him at first as his first throw turned into a pick six for Green Bay. Veteran cornerback Tramon Williams read a pass intended for Darrius Heyward-Bey, and jogged into the end-zone easily. Packers off to […]

A really good game to tell them hey we have some more work to do.

Their third-stringers are better than our third-stringers.

I think they were hard looking at some corner depth. As well as some other areas. I am hoping Davis can get back soon and do well at FS.... Was one of my biggest question marks on D and it looks like they are still position slacking depth wise.

DL, same ol slow sloppy weak ****

Pancaked, gutted by runs up the middle, cut them all and hire waiver wire scrubs.

Not a playmaker in sight on D, nobody that even warrants a double team - secondary might get some help this time, but still one good play, one bad play

well written article and the highlight clips rock. thank you

Remember this is only pre-season game 2 and I'm sure a lot of evaluation was going on with a very vanilla "D". Still that said we have some ground to cover back at the lab.

We've got some issues on defense, and please don't say its only the pre-season as all our ILB's are doing their best to impress.

I saw Bostic victimized in coverage again, and this time it was a 30+ yard penalty, and IMO, he did not look good vs the run either.* If he's the best option we've got, OC's and Qb's will zero in on #51.

In about games worth of preseason action I have seen Bostic miss a*tackle that lead to a big play, bad coverage that lead to an easy touchdown pass, and a 30+ yard pass interference penalty.

Among the ILB's, L.J Fort seems best in coverage, so maybe Tomlin should consider giving him a look.

Absolutely pathetic display or lack thereof by the defense. I know its preseason but its not what we want to see when the emphasis on tackling has been made.

Is it just me or is it kind of refreshing to see Connor bursting through the LOS at full speed rather than the dancing we normally see from our other RB?

Two very different styles. We will get to see more of it next year when Bell is gone

Second preseason or not we have a poor defense with not one play maker. Packers second and third team way ahead of ours. This team needs a big shake up before game one.

Conner was great in a limited role last year. This preseason, he is impressing. Bell seldom has long TD runs.

One thing I noticed is the speed of the front 7 is really lacking. Running/mobile QB's, Backs or TE's are going to break away from our front 7 for extra yardage.
