W or a L doesn't break the season, but a L might detour their mind sync on what can be accomplished this year.

A loss doesn't eliminate us mathematically but boy will it damage this team. We will have no chance at a bye week. We will be in a fight to win the easiest division in football to get in. That's not good. I easily see us getting spanked this week, against Green Bay, against New England, against the Lions, against the Texans and at least 1 or 2 in our division. We have the talent but we are NOT a good team right now and I have no confidence we can really beat anyone we are supposed to beat, let along compete against the good teams.

We have not faced a good QB yet. We know our D can't stop the run even when they are supposedly focused on it (although sometimes that still meant 6 DB's on the field on 3rd and short). Put in a good QB that will open up the run and how bad does our run D actually get?

We must run with a base D of Hewyard, Tuitt and Hargrave on the line with Watt, Bud, Shazier and Williams at LB. Take Williams out on passing downs to add a DB. If we have to go to a 6th DB, you have to look at taking out Bud or Watt, whoever is slower.

And the Rats are 3-2 and the Bungles are only 2-3. I have little confidence we beat the Rats again and the Bungles twice.

Not saying we're out of anything but we are losing to teams we should beat and barely beating others. No game is a gimme for this team. They could lose any of their remaining games.

Everybody off the bandwagon...

**** we've had worse starts and made superbowls...

Worse starts sure but our strength on the team has never looked this bad. Our O is currently our strength. They were supposed to put up 30+ last year and didn't due to mostly injuries and such. This year, everyone thought 30+ would easily be attainable. We have everyone playing and we are a very healthy team overall. In the preseason and now 5 games into the season ( you can usually start telling who are contenders and pretenders after about 5 games), our O looks horrible. We had one good running game and no good passing games. Ben has been off. The play calling still sucks. Our redzone appears to be worse than last year. We haven't really come close to 30 in a game, let alone averaging that for the season. So, I think there is room for concern.

Is the sky falling? No. Get embarrassed again this weekend and it might be. We just finished the easy part of our schedule and have looked bad doing it.

Jesus Christ, Tom, did you watch last season? 4-5. Lost 4 straight games.

The Steelers beat the Ravens like 10 days ago in Baltimore. Why do you think they can't do the same in Pittsburgh?

This game means a lot. A win and the critics who think Ben is done will be going back into he woodwork.

Its a tough match up.
