Looks pretty good except for Gilbert. Will the rookie get his first career start?

Not very happy to see Gilbert dealing with a hammy. Didn't he miss time last year cause of that? Several games before his suspension?

I am not sure. Have to get Cope to compare this year and last years injury's. But yeah not having him for the game will suck. Munch will have to be working overtime.

Didn’t he say Monday he and the trainers were going to go slow this week during practice so as to not aggravate it, but he plans to play?

Burnett, DeCastro, and Gilbert didn't practice today. They still have tomorrow but it is looking unlikely at this point that they will play Monday Night..

Thomas needs to see significant snaps this week on D.

You speak BIG truth here TDX27, now is as good a time as any and I bet he impresses..!!!

Salute the nation

Pittsburgh Dad isn't too happy about the standings. Hopefully the injuries won't road block a W.

I've been coaching the last two Sundays and haven't been able to watch the games the way I'd like to. Has Edmund's looked shity that he wouldn't play for Burnett?

He had a critical missed tackle.Kind of looked a little lost out there IMO. But it is early.

But I read conflicting reports. Possible Edmunds does get the nod.

Doomed

Steelers RT Marcus Gilbert (hamstring) did not practice Friday.

He also sat out Thursday's session with a hamstring injury he picked up in Week 2. RG David DeCastro also missed both practices with a broken hand. The Steelers badly need a win on Monday night, but they might have to do it without the right side of their offensive line.

Steelers RG David DeCastro (broken hand) is out for Week 3 against the Buccaneers.

Coach Mike Tomlin gave DeCastro a chance to return earlier in the week but he won't be ready. B.J. Finney will continue to fill in.

RT Marcus Gilbert (hamstring) additionally considers himself a game-time decision for Monday night. G Ramon Foster (knee) and CB Joe Haden (hamstring) were full participants in practice this week and should be ready to go against the Bucs.

Vita Vea out for Buccaneers vs. Steelers

Buccaneers first-round draft pick Vita Vea has still not played a snap in his NFL career, and that won’t change on Monday night.

Vea has been declared out for this week’s game against the Steelers. Vea suffered a calf injury during the first contact practice of training camp and still hasn’t been able to get on the field.

The Bucs will be thin in the middle of the defensive line because both Vea and fellow defensive tackle Beau Allen are out. Also out for the Bucs is cornerback Marcus Williams, while safety Chris Conte and cornerback Brent Grimes are questionable.

Are you sure? I read that he was a backup at FS if Davis got hurt, And Burnett is playing SS....

yeah at SS davis is better suited for FS since he is more a in the box S hopefully he can get going

I still think we have 99 strong safeties but a free safety ain't one........
