Pats fans are pathetic, whiny front runners. One of the narratives of this Super Bowl was that if the Chiefs won, it would mean they were the greatest dynasty with the first ever 3-peat. Once they lost, the internet was swarmed with Pats fans proclaiming victory. You see, they knew their team cheated and they won with different teams over many years. They feel a need for validation which is why they are coming out of the woodwork now.

Steeler fans know we had the greatest dynasty and don't need social media to verify what we know is true.

The Steelers were the greatest team ever assembled because they won 4 Super Bowls in 6 years with basically the same guys.

Speaking of 3-peats.

The Steelers played “without 50 percent of our offense” in the opinion of Chuck Noll, their coaoh, because the two running backs, Franco Harris and Rocky Bleier, plus the kicker, Roy Gerela, were hurt and never got in the game.

It's hard to compare teams of different eras. There was no salary cap back then so it was easier to keep a stacked team together. Players were also much different back then. Alot of them played for the love of the game and were less selfish. People seem to sleep on the 49ers and leave them out of the dynasty talk. They won 5 in 13 yrs and 4 of those were in 8yrs w/ a back to back in there. I would have loved to see Montana and the 49ers vs the Steel Curtain. There is just no way t

the further away the 70s get, the more people forget the complete dominance. going into every Sunday or occasional Monday you didnt hope the team would win, you knew it.
and when the lost everyone was shocked.

Everyone always brings up the "no free agency" of the 70's and it was easier to keep your team together, well that was the same for every team, not just the Steelers, so that makes it more impressive because you had to build your team from the draft and to coach your players, not pluck good players from other teams.

100% agree with this.
Look at all the superstars from those teams. All home grown

In another 20 years barely anyone will know the greatness of the Steelers in the 70's.Not that many do now outside of diehard Steeler fans or us long timers.

We've already had numerous players from those teams pass away.

To me.., it’s the Pittsburgh Steelers..

And the reason that separates those teams is the tremendous home field advantage at Three Rivers Stadium during that era..
Those other teams do not or did not have that type of affect on the opposing teams as the old school 3 Rivers crowd..

Always remember..
When you played the 70s Steelers… you were playing against the entire city of Pittsburgh.

A lot of them had off-season jobs like selling insurance, construction, or in Jack Lambert's case, game warden.
