Maybe...maybe not but zero sacks as a team and 185 yards rushing....i will take it.
Except he stopped at 2010 and left out 2009 and 2008 where NO ONE is left on the team and I think the only ones left in the NFL are Willie Colon and Ryan Mundy.
Ok let me go over this again, all teams suck at the draft by Steeler fan standards. We are spoiled. there once was a time when we had superior drafting techniques that the rest of the league now uses. There once was a time we were looking in areas no one else does, but that is rare these days... everyone looks everywhere. There also used to be more time for a team to develop young guys before having to play them. that is gone as of free agency and most recently the RFA contract changes in the last CBA. When ESPN or any of those sites track drafting over a period of 5 years we tend to be in the middle. teams near the top of the list have one or two great draft classes that carry them for a bit then they swing back down too... every draft isn't equal and frankly we held onto too many stars for too long again and lost or failed to develop their backups in the process. Development is critical to draft success. There is tons of talent out there, but it matters if you get the right guys for your system then get them up to speed in a timeframe that's is fairly quick. too often great potential is given up on quickly in the NFL. all teams do it either they play the guy at the wrong position, or just don't give him a real chance.
I mean a team that sucks at WR could draft a mediocre WR that wouldn't make our team but he might start there... a CB another team wanted no part of, like Blake or McCain might start here, so its never as easy as looking at it just from a pure drafting point of view either...
Having said all that we do tend to gamble with premium picks a lot more than we used to, which is a luxury move we often cant afford anymore.

I don't think you have to be "spoiled" to expect a better defense to be drafted than this one. No d-line, no pass rush, no secondary. Swings and misses all over the place. A mediocre o-line. Early picks spent on garbage pass rushers.
The best players we've drafted since 2007 (by All-Pros, not Pro Bowls) were Woodley, Wallace, Pouncey, Brown. Bell will soon join them. That's two bona fide superstars, a solid but inconsistent center, a pass rusher who had a great prime that lasted 10 minutes, and a speedster whose prime lasted about five. That's over seven drafts.
