As I posted yesterday in the game thread, we had no business being here, on the cusp of the playoffs.

Ever since Ben went down, we've been winning games with the likes of Duck Hodges, Benny Snell, BJ Finney, Tyson Alualu, Deon Cain, Diontae Johnson, Kerrith Whyte.

This team has come so far, it's been so improbable, yet it almost feels natural, like yeah, that's what we do. Next man up, et al.

I think it will take serious hindsight to truly appreciate what this squad has accomplished.

We **** the bed last night, ahem, Duck Hodges **** the bed last night.

But this Steelers team still deserves our attention and appreciation.

I can't imagine us going anywhere with either Duck or Mason as our QB.

But I will, as we all should, root for this rag tag squad these last two games.

It is truly remarkable these bad news bears have come this far. Even if we lose these last two games, this has been a season to remember. A season we all were reminded of - in no uncertain terms - what it means to be a Steelers fan.

With Ben on his last legs, I hope we're able to find our next QB at some point these next six months. I highly doubt it will be either Duck or Mason.

The good news is, what we can build around, is the Steelers D is back. And that should give us all a glimmer of hope for the future.
