When the Steelers take the field in NE Ben will be the longest tenured Steeler of all time, and if he's healthy he'll set the record for most games played in franchise history some time this season
People forget how young he was when he got drafted...he was basically as young as a guy could be starting out... add that QBs get way too protected now and it makes sense...

He's turned into a more short pass thrower recently to play longer, he still takes shots that aren't flagged that should be, see when Barron took out his knee a few years back with the Rams.
It is a pretty dang AMAZING stat as if you recall for several years he had arguably the worse OL in the NFL. MOST sacked QB several seasons, a true pounding before you add in the "ref & rog" affect.
Yeah that's pretty incredible considering all of the hits the first 10 years. So Ben will hang 'em up with the most sacks taken record and the longest tenured Steeler record. If that's not tough, I don't know what is.
For how he took his early in his career, I think many thought he would've already been retired for 2-3 years already. He changed his game and I'm not surprised he's still playing, but I am surprised there aren't former players who didn't play longer.
