Someone explain to me why Rogers isnt playing

Bryant is only ineffective because they are having him run short routes. I commented on that and after the game, so did several sportscasters. It makes no sense to keep him near the line on his routes.

Ben also overthrew him on both of his long ball targets on Sunday.

We have AB, and a bunch of wannabees

Yeah I didn't understand why having guys like Rogers and Cobi Hamilton on the roster meant that we were "stacked" at the position.

Eli is sitting, not because he's a talented WR, he's sitting because JuJu plays his position better than he does. JuJu is the best blocking WR on the team, and he's a rookie. Showing he can make the tough catches, and the game isn't too big for him, dropped Eli's snaps. Eli didn't get benched for dropping a punt, he got benched for better talent.

Eli and Hunter are 2 completely different receivers. Eli is only a Y or slot guy. Hunter can play X Y or Z. He's best as a Z in our scheme, but he can play the others as well. Eli is small and quick with great hands, but even if we're going with 2 slot receivers, you can always bump AB or put DHB or Hunter in the slot. Bryant is even getting some slot reps. Hunter has more size, and fights more for contested balls. He has good hands (better than Bryant and DHB), and he's really good as a red zone receiver. This is where his talents need to be utilized.
