I'm sure this has been stated, but outstanding job in the second half. Two things led to this:
1. Blake not being on the field. Plain and simple, he f'ng SUCKS, and has no business being on the field. Addition by subtraction as the defense is dramatically better without him.
2. We FINALLY started playing tight on the receivers, no more damn 10 yard cushions. Lo and behold, our guys made PLAYS ON THE BALL!!!

Excellent job by the players and coaching staff making the adjustments. Now STICK WITH THEM!

Blake is a horrible tackler, The less he plays moving forward, the better the results.

The steelers have played a ton of backup qbs this year and that has helped the defense

It's the NFL we play who they trot out there. Our opponents this year have played Vick and Landry, doesn't mean **** in the scheme of things. You play the team on the schedule period.

As long as they don't get all cocky and blow it next week after all the chest thumping. Brock had them on the ropes.

Do you suggest that those games be replayed w/ the starting QB's---so we can really see what we have??? Maybe we can suit up LeVeon and all of our injured players, on offense, so teams can see how our offense really should be working???

LMAO

i don't care what happens on the practice field.........Boykin is a far better cornor than Blake will ever be.

Boykin needs to be on the field period. He almost had a pick yesterday on a great read.

I thin k blake is playing with an injury, but that isn't an excuse. Injury holding yaz back, pull yourself for the betterment of the team.

Salute the nation

Boykin and Golden should both start from here out. Golden had a bead on 2 picks in limited play.

I agree, Golden looked good the last time he had to play when Will Allen was hurt. The safety play is much better with Golden and Mitchell.

Boykin looked fine as a tackler too. I don't know where this notion he can't tackle came from. I saw him knife in and tackle the RB once on a very nice play.

Hopefully not, they still gave up 27 points in one half of play.. the players need to keep that in mind.

That attempt of a tackle on Deymarius Thomas was absolutely terrible.

Along with the need for more Boykin we need more Golden too, big improvement when he's on the field.

I'd say 1. Gay 2. Cockrell 3. Boykin 4. Grant/Blake (I'd play Blake as little as possible)

My take ...

1. Gay
2. Cockrell
3. Boykin
4. Grant
5. The valet in the VIP parking lot
6. That guy who hangs around the front of Heinz with a sign, "Need tickets."
7. Me
8. Blake

Our best defense is a good offense.

Hahaha, well lets hope we never have to get far enough down the list to get to the valet, let alone you and the "need tickets" guy.

Blake is miseable to watch. Whatever we changed the coverage was so much better in the second half. Back up QB or not when receivers are so open you throw to the first one you see, means the defense is suspect. Keep it up I loved how tight we were on the fourth down plays.
