Not a coincidence. And, the ball definitely hit his helmet. You could see the ball going up in the air and after it hit it's helmet, it moved over about 2 or 3 feet. It was clear as day in the one replay. Maybe they are trying to say the wind did that.

Crooked bullshit. The ball CLEARLY speeds up its revolutions after it CLEARLY hits his helmet.

Even Gene "Cheating ***" Steratore states "it appears that it (the football) hit him" during the broadcast.

I didn't think there was "clear" video evidence, but Chubb flinched the moment the ball hit his helmet wasn't a coincidence.

Peppers leg was out of bounds that happened before the ball went thru the end zone.. once he went out of bounds because he is touching the ball the ball is dead at that spot which was the one.

Looked to me ball was coming loose before he went out

The problem was everyone was looking at the ball's spin, when the yard line should have been noted. The ball was moving toward midfield and struck a player. The ball was then recovered at a lower yard line than the point of impact. 1 yard back. That is how you get intelligent people to definitively see that the ball was hit by another player. Simple ******* physics...

So Steelersnation do you believe in coincidences or is he just that bad at making calls ?

seriously, slash?? can't we at least go half the season before we start with this bullshit???

Cope, for some the simpler it is the harder to grasp. Take a run of the mill MASShole fan and explain to them what cheating is,....they will never grasp what that concept is.

I hear exactly what you are saying and yes, that is the most obviously hard to comprehend for some.

It looked pretty obvious to me that the ball (on the punt) touched the guy's helmet. It sort of "crawled" up the side of it, then Davis recovered.

But when the announcers, who at first said it appeared to hit the helmet, began fudging and equivocating, I thought, "What in the world are they looking at?"

Seems like this kind of nonsense happens at least once in every NFL game I watch.

And I can't help but wonder if what the announcers are saying influences the reviewer's decision. That's f-ed up, too.

NOT the "reviewer's" decision but you the people's decision. Ever notice at times they only have one replay camera shot and it doesn't quite show the ball very well and 1st time you saw it you had a definate decision. Well they show the replays they want to make the call that is influenced to be called. I think there are like 22 cameras for filming the game and you know as well as I do that they have all angles of the ball covered but chose sometimes to ONLY show what supports the call. Especially when the "heads" make the correct call but suddenly change their tune as it's a front office call to do so.

Ben and Tomlin do their jobs and replay really doesn't matter

You been drinkin’?

It was it was definitely loose but once his leg was out of bounds the ball is dead at that spot. Nothing else matters

False.

The runner is down going out of bounds only when he has POSSESSION OF THE BALL at the time.

Or could Conner simply run to the sidelines and touch out of bounds on his fumble?!?

Jeez, Louise, Blitz, the Steelers are up 21-7 at the time and should have had the ball around midfield on the turnover.

The call goes the way it clearly should have, the blowout commences.

Any one who is out of bounds and touches the ball makes the ball out of bounds i believe

THAT is correct and simple commen sense. If you step one foot (or any body part connected to you) out of bounds and ball glances off your pinky finger for ONLY 1/100th a second, the ball is dead at that spot.
