Not that I believe he should be.
When Mitchell was prone on the ground I truly thought he was going to get hit.... Seeing Harrison cleaning off the Card player brought tears to my eyes (and the Cardinal too, I think).
Playing with that kind of heart and power should be rewarded, not punished.
Was there a whistle? To me it sure looked like Mitchell was going to get hit.

But Goodell being Goodell, of course Harrison will be fined... But how much?

Fined for what?

Harrison launched AZ's Brown after Mitchell's end zone INT. i didn't see it happen real-time, but they did call a personal foul penalty. Watching the highlights, you see Brown getting ready to fall on or hold down Mitchell as he is laying on the ground with the ball and Harrison comes flying in and pops him back in the air about 5 yards. Watched it like 5 times, it was vintage Harrison.

Still a live ball right? Had Mitchell not been hurt he could've tried to advance it. If so clean hit, shouldn't have been a foul.

That's what I was thinking when it happened; didn't look like he had been contacted. There were some bad calls against both teams yesterday.

Excellent point. Mitchell went to the ground because of contact with Cochtrell (sp). He was live, but was too banged up to get back up and run. What Harrison did is legal, and shouldn't have been flagged.

Watch the replay. Mitchell was live, and the coach could have argued it if he saw it clean (which i don't fault him not seeing in real time), but with the help of Replay, and the fact that the whistle was not blown. Harrison should not be fined.

Bottom line it's just a block on an INT play. It's just that Deebo hits people too hard and sometimes in a colorful manner. :eagerness:

That was the 2nd time Harrison walloped Brown. I suspect that the ref threw the flag in part because he feared for Brown's safety.

Looked clean to me. ****, I didn't see a forearm or a body slam. James went soft on the guy in my book. C'Mon James and turn it up a notch!

I thought it was a great "football move" by Mr. James Harrison . The man plays the way the game is meant to be played !!!!!!!!

I applaud James for the hit, he's sticking up for his teammate. But the hit did come off as a late hit. I've seen worse than Harrisons penalty. If he gets fined. Thats bs

Not what I saw.

Preface,, I love deebo.

however..

what I saw was Mitchell on the ground with the INT. PLay was over. Cardinal standing over him.. looking like he was taunting him or something.. Deebo flies in and cleans his clock. I watched this over and over tryin to figure out what happened.
Deebo was no where near the play when Mitchell came down with it..

While I don't think there was anything wrong with what Harrison did, it was actually nice to see it, but with Mitchell laying on the ground like that, the only way I could possibly make sense out of it is if because they constitute that as taking a knee for a touchback perhaps? I mean, that's really stretching for something but that was the only way it seemed to make sense to me. Or if because he was hurt the refs called the play dead? If that was the case, they did a pretty lousy job of blowing the whistle.

This is the NFL. You are not supposed to hit anyone.

I'm going to miss Deebo when he's gone
