Your host G.Stryker has the pleasure to get to know our newest defensive lineman, Chris Wormley, who talks about growing up a Steeler fan in Ohio, and also what it was like to play under both Harbaugh brothers.* You used to root against him, now you’ll be rooting for him! Be sure to reach out […]

Super interesting guy and well worth the listen.

1) grew up a Steelers fan
2) Played for both Harbaugh brothers
3) One of the few people we will see that played for both the Steelers and Ravens

He's also very excited to come here because the Steelers showed some interest back before his draft.

listening now. good interview so far Cope

edit: just wrapping up now...really good interview...like the kid. will be rooting for him. loved how he talked about Z. Banner.

Thanks Cope!

Good listen, and you can tell he has a good head on his shoulders. A family man etc. One thing though Worm it isn't just Banner with a huge cult following. Steelers fan base follows all the players like no other. Cope touched on the practice squad but we really are one of the biggest fan bases out of all the sports. We take over stadiums like no other! I can tell he isn't fond of the NT position no matter I doubt the Steelers play him there. Nice to know he is scheme flexible. Good job as always Cope you are a good podcast fit. I can see you are more comfy now as when you first started. You went from the practice squad into the starting position and have developed well. Keep up the good work!

Cheers, guys, I'm doing what our players do. I put the time in. Research my players, and try and get better every week!.

Thanks a ton for providing some content, team! The players seem to get a real kick out of them.

I'm working on trying to be more conversational with players and create a rapport. Wormley was fantastic, and we got along really well. The story about how he became a Steeler fan and got the Steelers coat was actually done after the podcast, and we were shooting the ****. He said, damn I should have saved this for the podcast, and I said, no worries, I'll splice it in. If anyone jumped on the podcast immediately, you would have heard us say exactly that. I cut that out and had the edit up within 10min after the first post.

Today was a little stressful too. Usually I have at least a day to prepare. Justin hits me up at 12:45 saying he's ready at 1. I said I got to at least have an hour to prepare and set up the studio. We rescheduled for 2, I got a good amount of research in, grabbed your questions as I was interviewing, and we made it work.

I'm excited to be pulling for him this year. I can't wait to see what he does, and how he will be used, but like you guys noticed from the podcast, he's not expecting to play zero tech any time soon...
