Here's a couple quotes from James Harrison on the Defense and Tomlin.

Tomlin’s got more of his hand into it, and like I said, Coach Butler, he’s a great coach, but at least from when I was there, he didn’t actually get the chance to coordinate and actually do the job. He had it in title”, Harrison said. Mike Tomlin’s hand is in a lot of that, and I think that’s why I believe you haven’t seen the change in the defensive side of the ball too much other than letting guys go”.

I read that the other day. Very telling and should answer questions as to the real problem here. Thanks for posting this.

Art Rooney II mush be a mushroom, kept in the dark and feed &#^T because he is the only one who doesn't see Tomlin for who he is.

The players know the deal, but speak out against him as an active player unless your Ben, and welcome to the dog house or wavier wire.

ART was just on the fan, and they tried to get him to say he was going to extend Tomlin, and he just wouldn't do it.

LOL...Art 2 I think knows more than you when it comes to football and the business of football. I'l take his stance based on the past more than I would on the opinions of the ill informed Coach.

Harrison has ulterior motives. A.) Trying to stay relevant when he no longer is. B). Petty commentary because he feels he was wronged. He should realize Father Time is undefeated verses professional athletes and he got paid pretty good money for his services when he could play.

Lol...like TWO people here believe the Ben stuff and a vast majority have been riding Harrison's jock because he is speaking out against Tomlin.

Hypocrisy at its finest.

**** Harrison.

I never said I believe him, just everyone runs with the Sharpe bullshit he spews, and the Sanders crap about Ben.
I think Harrison is an *** for the way he acted.
When Sanders said Ben wasn't a good leader people couldn't wait to jump all over him about that.

The defense thing, I don't think anyone needs Harrison to tell us who is running that D, anyone that has watched the Steelers since the Lebeau years knows whose defense this is.

He knows more about ownership.

But as far as the game its self, I don't think so. We've watched the same amount of Steeler games for decades, and I tend to doubt he follows the other teams or the draft process. Art II, as far as I know never played football or coached it. If put on pads and played, that is news to me.

Art II keeps his mouth shut and doesn't offer much content beyond the obvious. The man will be 67 in September, and has 4 children, the oldest of which I hope is more like his father Dan when it comes to running the Steelers.

As for Harrison, he's speaking the truth. Tomlin a bone head. Saying one thing to a player than doing another ( when we could have used Harrison pass rush ) is a fine way to burn a relationship between a player and a coach.

Sharpe MUST know that AB had more targets than Juju thus year. He HAS to know that? Right?
So is he suggesting that the team needs to force even MORE balls to Brown to make up for drops and coverage incompletions? Cause it SEEMS that's what he's saying...

its media bs they put out to get people stirred up and you accommodate.

Everyone here laps up Harrison's dribblings because it matches their pre-conceived notions. Ignores Sanders (and whoever else might have said anything) for the same reason.

Tired of seeing Harrison show up on FS1 for the sole purpose to bash the Steelers in some way.

He sure was quiet as a player. Now he's making the rounds bashing the team who employed him at OLB for 10 years. Such a vindictive and spiteful ************.

I'm not accommodating, I don't watch that show ever, just see clips people post here or online

Harrison was at least in the locker room. The others probably couldn't name more than five players on the roster.

He is now a media hack that says things to get clicks or views. His opinion means **** all as a disgruntled former employee.

Exactly with AR II.

I still believe he’s got to find the franchise “identity” (for lack of better term) sans Dan Rooney.

But make no mistake that he understands the situation with the team; plus more factors than just us every day fans know (or think they do)

He wasn't quiet, he was bashing the commish the entire time he was playing here.

I guess I was driving at that he was quiet when it came to the inner workings of the team that employed him, his teammates etc. Now he's in complete ******* mode. He said it was just a business. He sure isn't acting like it's just business.

“As far as the game itself, I don’t think so.” “We’ve watched the same amount of Steeler games for decades....follows other teams draft processes.”

Hahahahahaha! Coach, seriously I implore you to get some help. Professionally.

Art2 has more knowledge about the team, the game and nuances of professional football than you could ever try to claim. He has been around the team and players since he was a ball boy in his teens. He was under the tutelage of his Dad during that time and all through his college and legal career. Being groomed to succeed his Dad. He’s been club president and running the day to day operations of the club since 2003 and all the team decisions since BEFORE Dan passed.

The fact whether he played or coached has no bearing on his knowledge of the game. It’s been family run since inception. He’s been around all three facets of it his entire life and ingrained in his everyday living.

You on the other hand have no football experience other than possibly playing high school or coaching Pop Warner kids. Other than that you are a fan of the game and team. That’s it. So don’t even think you can guesstimate what the owner of a professional club’s acumen is based on your experience/knowledge or intellectually try to compare to one.

Man, you must have a complete loss of smell so as to be out in public, as you are so full of crap it’s bewildering.

Dan Rooney didn't publicly announce his decision making process and short sightedness or long sightedness. I can see his son is following that and more power to him. I couldn't imagine an owner wanting to make decisions in public or by public opinion. MOST / ALL outside of his imeadiately circle are ONLY guessing the process as The owner has all factors to bear. Simply put, NO ONE has all th information (except the owner / inner circle) to make the decision. GUESS here and there and educated per what your fact finding mission brings you but even then NO ONE here has all the information needed. I'm sure in the end he will have his decisions and he will have to live by them as it's his team / money / life of work towards what he deems the direction they are headed weather we like it or not.
