Senior Bowl Thread

We have limited picks this year. I see almost no way we draft a QB at all, let alone in the 3rd round.

my standout players from yesterdays Senior Bowl if anyone gives a crap..

1st Team

Center - Cusenberry - LSU
Guard - Lewis - LSU
RB - Peline - Florida
RB - Kelley - UCLA
Edge - Uche - Michigan
Edge - Anae - Utah

Honorable Mentions

DE - Robinson - Syracuse
Safety - Duggar - Lenoir-Ryne
LB - Weaver - Cal
OG - Bredeson - Michigam

QB's not included - but if I had to choose the 2 best that could develop into a starting NFL QB, it would be Hebert and Gordon.

No TE's? I didn't see it. I wanted to check out the Tight Ends ,,

I mentioned Peline already in my RB likes he would be worth a look. A hard runner I think he would be a solid addition. I think he could be had with the comp pick....

Ben's situation is iffy. Some vet QBs won't get a starting gig. There will be some options.

Why sign a stop gap guy that gets the team to 9-7.? If Ben is done this team is done until they draft a Qb high than pans out for that to happen you need a losing record.

Picking an older vet locks up cap space. I’d rather spend elsewhere.

This draft won’t be exciting but there are some Nice centers and guards, some tight ends that could upgrade the Steelers and of course better and cheaper punters:)

I'm more concerned with the part where Hurts stares down option 1 and if he's covered, he doesn't know what to do and takes off running. That is where he didn't improve.

Rudolph is better. He can read a defense. Hurts does give you the running option but that's all.

Rudy has two years of working w/ NFL coaches and he still isn't better than Jalen - and that's not me being a homer. Buckeye gets it - I don't think Jalen falls to the third but he's a special type of person that can play QB...

Maybe Jalen can play an NFL snap before you declare him better than Rudolph.

So you're saying someone other than quarterbacks played yesterday?

Because if you don't bring a vet in you are stuck with the same ****** up situation at QB that the Steelers had this season with Ben going down. If the team had a better backup QB option they would have made the playoffs.

They should always play to win, losers play to lose.

In all honesty, while I almost never advocate trading draft picks, with the exception of RB, whom almost always can contribute as a rookie, if there isn’t any round two guy who can be an immediate contributor available, trade the pick for a vet in a position of need... like an olineman, TE or #1 wr....

Such as? No Qb with starting ability will come here unless Ben isn’t playing

And where we pick in the draft, no QB with starting ability will be available. If you go the Steelers stated method of BPA, I seriously doubt that the best player available at our pick in round 2 will be a QB. So, do you have a knee jerk reaction to Rudolph's showing this year, panic and reach for a QB? Nah, I don't think so. And, you would be the first one on here providing a list of better picks they "should" have made if they did do that. Heck, you'll provide your list even if they don't reach for a QB in round 2.

3-4 OLB'ers are 4-3 DEs. Pretty sure you want height and arm length at the position.

Which was my point in responding to the previous poster's assertion that you don't want tall OLB'ers.
