Hey everyone,

My brother got us tickets in section 120 for next week's game row HH, I just found out tonight that this section is reserved for "kids and family" and no alcohol is allowed.
Before I try to sell these and get new tickets, I wanted to see if anyone knows if they actually enforce this rule.
Really pisses me off to find this out after already getting the tickets, this should be something listed that you can see when purchasing the tickets.

Or you could get blasted before the game on much cheaper booze and not act like an ******* while you are in the stadium and then pick up your drunk after. Just a thought.

Well that’s the thing, I don’t get “blasted” when I drink, do I like to have a beer or two during a sporting event? Sure, why not... I don’t think it’s much to ask with the cost to goto the games. I also don’t act like an ******* but yeah, that’s a thought.

From ticketmaster:

Alcohol Free

Section 120 rows BB, CC, DD, and EE are alcohol-free to create a family friendly zone.

To search tickets in these seating areas, select an event and apply the corresponding filter.

Some great tickets available right here on the board at face value though

My row is HH and it says on the tickets that it is alcohol free. So either that is inaccurate or my tickets are.

What I posted before came up when I googled. When I went directly to Ticketmaster and the exact game, I found this

Please note Game date and time has been set for Sunday, January 14 at 1:00pm. Tickets will not be sold at Ticketmaster Outlets. Ticket limits will be strictly enforced. Section 120 Rows BB-HH are designated as the Family Section. No Alcohol willbe permitted in this area.

Just busting your balls dude. Be happy that you get to go. Most of us would kill to be there. Im pretty sure you could have a beer or two in the building and go to your seat after. I get what your saying and I would imagine it is an annoyance. I assume the game is sold out. So unless you see someone with a kid who is wanting to trade spots, you are out of luck. I do agree they should post the family zone clearly on tge seating chart. How are those who want to take their kid supposed to find it.

Don't get me wrong, I'm still pumped to be going no matter where I sit. I just wanted to see if anyone had experienced this section. I don't need a beer, it's just a luxury if it is allowed.

Ah ok, fair enough. It is what it is then.

Buy a large pop, empty it. Pour beer in said cup. Enjoy.

Actually you can check in to be a designated driver at the Miller Light Kiosks and you get a chip for a free pop. Then just use that cup.

You'd have to drink your beer through a straw though...

I was faced with the same situation a few years back, taking my father to his first game against the Raiders. Like you, I just wanted to be able to enjoy a beer or 2 with my Pop during the course of the game since my dad is older and we really weren't going to be doing any tailgating. We grabbed a beer on the way in as I showed him around the stadium a bit. We ended up just sitting back and enjoying the heck out of the game, without having to deal with the lines or restrooms. It was a win, so we celebrated with a few extra beers at dinner afterwards. Moral of my story is, while initially frustrated, there was still a way to make the most of the day.

I will also say this... you don't have to be ****-faced to be an *******. There were plenty of those in the family section showing their true colors without direct access to the booze.

Enjoy the time with your bro and GO STEELERS!

I've been at every game ever played at Heinz Field and I had no idea their was a family section.
