All right, season is finally upon us. Lets have us a little fun and talk the entire NFL division by division, make predictions, poke fun at other teams and, in general, get pumped for the season. We open @NYG so lets talk some NFC East Football. Feel free to yuk it up.
My Prediction:
1. Eaglets
2. Cowspurts (WC)
3. No Names
4. G-Men
The division is definitely a fight between Dallas and Eagles. I give edge to our cross-state buds as they get a healthy Carson Wentz back while the Cowboys are breaking in a new coach. Mikey may be a better coach than Garrett in the long run, but with no OTA's, limited camp, etc to install his system I do expect some challenges early on. They will work through them, but I think they will be playing chase to the Eagles by then.
The No-names got themselves a defensive minded coach and a pretty good baller in the first round of the draft with Chase Young. They have Kyle Allen with a year under his belt and Alex Smith is cleared. I don't know if Smith can still play and start, but this is a guy that can help Allen mature. Still, they are missing a lot of pieces including a nickname. Just like the Cowsquirts, I do expect some struggles early to get the new coachs system in. Still, I think Rivera is more seasoned for the challenge than the new coach of the next team...
G-men and new HC Joe Judge. Yea, I know he earned his wings in the cheat factory and may have a few tricks up his sleeve, but he has not been an HC in the NFL and that is its own learning experience. And this is the wrong year to earn those wings. Aside from that, a second year QB in Daniel Jones. Not a knock on the guy, but I suspect he has a bit longer growth curve than people might imagine. That said, he could be the surprise for them - teams are going to focus on Barkley. If Danny can take advantage, maybe they can rise above the No-names.
So that is my totally uneducated, first beer in me swag at the NFC East to get y'all thinking and talkin just cuz the NFL is back. Feel free to poke fun and make your own thoughts or, at least, post your favorite **** waffle recipe if you got nothing else. What you got?
