Looking at the Jaguars you start with their strength, and that would be defense. They have a 18 to 3 sack ratio. So they can get after it. Calais Campbell leads this unit with 5.5 sacks on the year. Followed by Yannick Ngakoue with 4 and Dante Fowler with 3. So it isn't just one player getting after it obviously. The O-line will need to be on it's toes and play above the neck with good solid situational football. I am assuming Gilbert will be back for this match-up that should help obviously. Their pass D is easily their strength when further breaking down the defense compared to their run D which is dead last in yards given up. It is like night and day in comparison. I think on offense you follow the ratbird blue-print. And run run run, and then run Bell some more. Hell Bell could have a opportunity to rush for over 200 yards in this encounter. Mix in Conner to keep Bell fresh. You want Nix and McDonald with their hands in the woodpile blocking. Ben can attack with quick passes, spreading the ball around. And if the O-line is doing what they are capable of, test that back end of the secondary. A good test for Ben and company as the Jaguars statistically field the NFL's best pass defense. Let's see if the Steelers can knock that unit down a peg or two.

On offense you look for the jag offs to run Fournette often as he is a capable running-back as well as a capable pass catcher. And as a unit their running game is rated number 2 statistically in the NFL. Their passing attack is rated 30th. The Steelers run D will need to be on their toes. Another good test to see what that run D looks like with Tuitt and Watt in game 2 of their injury return. I hope for Mitchell's return in this one as he is a upgrade in the run VS Wilcox. At QB Blake Bortles comes in with a 54.5 completion percentage, so nothing wowing there.

If the Steelers run effectively and defend the run effectively that should = WIN Sunday.

Thanks for the intel. I think you have it right as to run BELL but also Conner needs more touches than what he's been getting. Bell will be wore down to tread before 12 games are up if they keep this pace........... then what. I still think run run pass is to predictable so I think you do nhave to mix it up a little and keep ahead of the chains...........

get Bryant involved early & often the way AB is getting attention going vertical thier will be double teams, he has to win the deep crossing routes

Just so long as we don't sleep on this team. This is one of several teams on our schedule who look a lot tougher than they did 3 weeks ago.

They're better than the Bears, just saying.

After the beating they gave the Ravens, its apparent this team has the tools and attitude to play at a high level with a balanced attack.

Have to enter this contest like the Ratbirds.

They did just lose to the Jets, allowing almost 500 yards offense and over 200 yards rushing to the Jets

That team that embarrassed the Reavens must have stayed in England.

Rayray forgot the antler powder so they had to use tea leaves instead. The cheap ******* bought Lipton.

As for the Jaguars, we just have to keep our heads in the game. PLAY hard and don't stop between the whistles. I noticed in the rats game the team as a whole seemed to play more of the 60minutes than they have in the past. Our team and games are getting more complete and hope to peaking near week twelve.

Hope the Steelers believe this and don't come out all swollen headed cocky after beating the depleted Rats.

I would suggest to the team that the Jags will be looking to rebound after the Jets game and keep "ahead of the chains" in the AFC standings. They will likely be determined to get a game back.

Steelers open as 9 point favorites

another trap game?

The Jags come out and tell you they are going to run it and wait to see if you can stop it. So far this year, our D has not looked good against the run.

If the Jags come out in power formations and we put 2 DL out there, I will be throwing **** at the TV. They will run it down our throats if we do that.

Our brand of power football, combined with playmakers on offense, and a defense that can limit points and create splash plays is going to be tough to beat.

This could be our best + or - year for turnovers in a while.

It could be me, but I think Ben is assuming a leadership role for the players, speaking out to avoid distractions regards of whether it's the coaches or a players creating them.

The Jets and the Titans beat these Jaguars. I am not a believer in the Jaguars, and I'll pick Houston to whip them when the re-match.

Good points coach and run or pass these teams are finding it more diffricult to score when close to the endzoon (red zone). I like our "D" and it will hold the jaguars down. OUR OFFENSE will have an easier time too.

Clone the last game. Force their offense to win the game. Long fields. Bait Bortles into key mistakes look for a 24-10 type win.

Bortles is bi-polar, way up or way down

WE made Glennon look like an all-pro don't forget

Bears running game 2 weeks ago, Glennon 3 years ago when he was with Tampa

Didn't track that far back in my memory bank. Yeah we've made other QBs look like magicians out there who were ****. Don't think this secondary is going to allow that to happen as long as we don't go all zone D.

Glennon or the Bears running game?

Yeah I believe Glennon had under 100yds passing. I don't think 1600 yds passing will make you an all pro. but glennon has beat this team twice with a shity roster around him. Unfortunately for hm the Steelers are about it.

The jags have been using their TE's too - Mercedes Lewis had a career day in win over Ravens

With Jacksonville's center out, he should win that matchup and help disrupt the Jag off passing game............
