Looking at the Jaguars you start with their strength, and that would be defense. They have a 18 to 3 sack ratio. So they can get after it. Calais Campbell leads this unit with 5.5 sacks on the year. Followed by Yannick Ngakoue with 4 and Dante Fowler with 3. So it isn't just one player getting after it obviously. The O-line will need to be on it's toes and play above the neck with good solid situational football. I am assuming Gilbert will be back for this match-up that should help obviously. Their pass D is easily their strength when further breaking down the defense compared to their run D which is dead last in yards given up. It is like night and day in comparison. I think on offense you follow the ratbird blue-print. And run run run, and then run Bell some more. Hell Bell could have a opportunity to rush for over 200 yards in this encounter. Mix in Conner to keep Bell fresh. You want Nix and McDonald with their hands in the woodpile blocking. Ben can attack with quick passes, spreading the ball around. And if the O-line is doing what they are capable of, test that back end of the secondary. A good test for Ben and company as the Jaguars statistically field the NFL's best pass defense. Let's see if the Steelers can knock that unit down a peg or two.
On offense you look for the jag offs to run Fournette often as he is a capable running-back as well as a capable pass catcher. And as a unit their running game is rated number 2 statistically in the NFL. Their passing attack is rated 30th. The Steelers run D will need to be on their toes. Another good test to see what that run D looks like with Tuitt and Watt in game 2 of their injury return. I hope for Mitchell's return in this one as he is a upgrade in the run VS Wilcox. At QB Blake Bortles comes in with a 54.5 completion percentage, so nothing wowing there.
If the Steelers run effectively and defend the run effectively that should = WIN Sunday.
