I think D1 sports brings in too much money to colleges not to pay the athletes. Especially when in several cases the highest-paid state employee is the head football or basketball coach. Pay up, sucka.

That will be interesting. Will they contract them? Do they subtract from the value of full scholarships? That could open up competition for those schools with deep pockets or boosters with deep pockets.

The best opportunity is for the kids who have not been able to capitalize on other talents (I saw a kid who could not perform music for pay) and those with a huge social media following. There are some athletes with millions of followers across their platforms and could reach over a million dollars in sponsorship deals.
