The Steelers traded wide receiver Sammie Coates to the Cleveland Browns on Saturday.

In addition to Coates, the Browns will receive the Steelers seventh-round draft pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. The Steelers will receive the Browns sixth-round draft pick in the 2018 NFL Draft.

Coates was selected by the Steelers in the third round of the 2015 NFL Draft out of Auburn. Coates had 22 receptions for 446 yards and two touchdowns in two seasons. He played in 14 games in 2016, starting five, and had 21 receptions for 435 yards, including a 72-yard touchdown.

At least we get something out of him. My grandpappy always said a little bit of something BEATS a whole lotta nothing.

Salute the nation

Well if he was going to be cut anyway glad we got something in return

Or maybe not......

The 6th-round pick Browns are sending to Steelers is the one they acquired last year in the Justin Gilbert trade.

So who stays in his, Hunter or Ayers?

I'd say Hunter

Better than a cut. And if he would have been cut he would have signed with the pats

Cleveland Browns receiver Sammie Coates, dropped a sure touchdown pass with 10 seconds left in the contest with the Pittsburgh Steelers, that would have given the Browns the final playoff spot in the AFC, and given the division to the Baltimore Ravens, with the Steelers relegated to the first wild card. Instead, the Steelers will be off next week, the Ravens will be on the road at Las Vegas, and the Browns will be at home for the 18th consecutive postseason.

A rumor blog linked to rumor monger reporters?

That's not official anything

Let me bestow you with the "horses mouth". Used a screenshot. Hope it's not too fake for your liking. Understand there is a lot of fake news out there with regards to the NFL roster cuts.

Ayers has been released. Hopefully he comes back on the PS but I am told that it's very unlikely.
