Russ on coming to the Steelers

Go get #7!!!!

Great find Coolie, thanks for posting.

Russ has continuously praised being here and I think he is truly sincere about it.

Hopefully he has that same feeling when it comes negotiation time
At this point in his career, it can't be just about the money, but I suppose I could be wrong about that.
Being genuinely happy has to play a large part in his decision, and from a Steeler standpoint, he's proven that he can still play.

I was listening to Richard Sherman on his podcast and he was of the mind that Russ will take the hometown deal. Like Sherman said he's made a bunch of money in Seattle then Denver, why would he want to go to a team that is a mess(which is the type team to overpay) and ruin his legacy? He has a chance to win a championship/s here and cement his place in NFL history. That has to be very appealing.

I love this! Back during the season when Ben told the Bus he was going to win the SB for him, I had this feeling during the season. It would send chills throughout my body. I just knew we were going to win it all. Knock on wood, I have had that same feeling for a few weeks now. I hope that feeling is right. This team has something special and Watt, Heyward, Minkah, and other older guys deserve to win this thing. Ooohhhhh, I got a feeling, baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Russ appears to be a good fit here and I hope a new extension can be worked out. In fact I know it has to be worked out since there is no one waiting in the wings. I think it will be reasonable for both sides since Steelers do need to add some quality in FA namely Tee Higgins please. In addition they will have to extend George and possibly Najee.
Russ won’t try and break the bank here, he’s already done that. He knows we need more talent on offense.

Exactly

Having 4 olinemen on rookie deals should go a long way in having $$ to sign a QB.
And if you are a QB it would be a great place to be. 4 stud young linemen

I'd read somewhere, or maybe it was DK sports, that going into next season, the Steelers will have the 2nd MOST cap space.

Ben promising The Bus he’d win the Super Bowl for him must have flashed through his mind after The Bus fumbled vs the Colts.
I think it was divine intervention that helped Ben trip up the Colt defender heading towards the opposite end zone.
