Rumors have it that some players are split on Bell sitting out and dividing the team. This is where Tomlin is suppose to make sure everyone who picks up a paycheck is playing like together. If not and this team stays divided then we're done for the season.

while i can't stand Tomlin, uniting the players over bell is impossible. No matter what Tomlin says or does players are going to have their personal feelings. The in house drama sure does not help, but this team has had the same issues for years.

These are professional athletes each with their own negotiated contracts. None of them should give a rats arse about Me'Veon's. If there is division among the team, anything Tomlin says one way or the other will only aggravate the situation. Besides, were CMT a better disciplinarian, having to focus the players over something that really is none of their concern?

If that is true, the only smart thing to do would be to pull the tag and let him find another team. It might be worth sacrificing any comp pick they get to save the season.

No I bench him, and I like the posters idea about playing him on special teams.

You don't care if you **** us? well **** you.

No, that would be giving him exactly what he wants - a la LeGarrette Blount. Right now he isn't costing us a dime and we pick up $850K in cap room every game he misses. If he stays out the season, you tag him for the same amount next year and make him sit out another year until he's too old to play. Or, better yet, if it is still an option, you use the exclusive rights tag and force any team that signs him to a contract we don't match to give up two first round picks. The only thing I'm not sure about is if you can use the exclusive rights tag after you've used the franchise tag.

Best way to **** Bell is to roll his missed games into next year and use it to f-tag him again. (yes, I am being sarcastic)

Can always put the non exclusive on him or not?

That at least comes with attractive compensation.

No coach, or anybody else has the power to control how a grown man feels about that type if situation. He's doing a piss poor job along with the rest of our "coaches", but he has zip top do with the players being butt hurt over LeVeon sitting out.

I'm pretty sure, but not certain, that if they were tag him with the exclusive tag again next year the cost would be that of the top 5 quarterbacks, too steep a cost just to be spiteful.

Yes it would and I would if he sits until the last minute. Use the Cap savings tag him with the non exclusive tag and make him squirm. He either sign a new deal with us or someone else we compensation or he retires.

what would the non exclusive cost?

Yep, the 3rd straight year you are franchised it becomes the average of the top 5 QBs regardless of your position.

I thought that was for the exclusive though not the non exclusive?

Cope?

You expect Tomlin to actually lead? Really?

We don't need Bell. The O has been lighting things up without him. If Ben didn't have 5 turnovers last week, we win easily. Has nothing to do with Bell. Conner put up numbers like Bell would have. This week, we started the game not running for some reason and then immediately got behind and never could turn back to the run. Bell would have made no difference. I would rather have AB, JuJu and Washington as receivers than any RB, even Bell. He is not one of our top 3 WR's.

Our 0-1-1 record has nothing to do with Bell other than the fact that, yes, he is a cancer to this team. If anything, they should be entertaining any and all offers for him.
