that's funny!

As Mason walked into the locker room. . .

"Heeeey, where is everyone and when did they turn the field into a baseball diamond? Coaaaaaaaaaach????"

This has zero to do with the Steelers though, I've seen people blaming the Steelers for him not being on a stretcher, etc., etc. There's medical experts out there, they obviously thought there was no risk of further injury and they appear to be correct, he was at the offices today smiling visiting everyone.

I was just stating in response to your UFC mention. The impact of a linebacker with speed using his helmet would focus that energy to a point like a hammer. A **** ton more force that a fist in a fight

It is always better to be safe than sorry. I bet a **** ton of medical professionals would argue for a neck brace and cart as a precaution Just sayin.

There are grades of concussions. unconscious with an arm spasm has to be the highest. He is out three weeks minimum. Is what it is. See what the other kid has.

I don't know about all that. You have flying knees in UFC and they have no head protection. Plus a first or knee is a more concentrated energy point than a helmet. Watch the replay of Askren vs Masvidal. Jorge charges full speed and lands a flying knee as Ben goes for a take down. He was out and stiff several minutes. UFC guys have gone out cold several times with spasms and are allowed to get up. It would be an interesting physics experiment though

I'm not saying that was or wan't his intent. I just recorded what the man said. My point was player intent shouldn't prevent a suspension and heavy fine.

Somewhere, probably near my office, Deebo is laughing.

I'd wager an NFL(heavyweight)linebacker leading with speed leading with the helmet to the head can deliver more kinetic energy. I do understand how much force a knee can deliver though. It's a lot. It's even more if you're latched on to your target. I've had a considerable amount of practice using them.

I'm sure this stuff is on fight science someplace. I'm intrigued to find out. I think they had on Ray Lewis some years back.

The only trouble with flying knees is that you lose energy as soon as your feet leave the ground. The same goes for superman punches.
