This might have been lost earlier this year, but the owners voted to change the roster cut down rules from 90 to 75 to 53 so now there is just one cut from 90 to 53 after the 4th game.

With all the extra bodies on the roster it may give someone some extra time to earn a roster spot and probably lessens the load you need to place on your returning starters you want to keep from getting hurt.
