Rogers has an issue with being miked up

“Yeah, I think it's too much information,” Rodgers told Hawk. “In 2008 there used to be no headset on defense, so the defense had to signal in every play and that was part of the whole Spygate issue [with] filming signals and whatnot. But now you have mics on both guards most of the time and you pick up everything that the quarterback says when we're at home and sometimes on the road as well.

“I think that's a competitive edge for the defense and it makes you have to work that much harder with your dummy words and your live and dead words. I mean, that's part of the game, but I think that the access is a little bit much.

Between injury possibilities and D's picking up on things said. I could see a legitimate concern, and a reason for a O not to want to be miked up.

I wouldnt want to be miked up either. Seems like an invasion of privacy. Somethings should only be heard by your team mates.

miking up is stupid. Give them that, that they can play without having to check themselves there.

Someone ,might want to tell Billicheat that not every player on his team needs to be mixed up. Remeber he mixed up his defensive line to get audibles. Then they since it up with their game films to determine the play from that call... Elaborate system billieboy had...(has)

Salute the nation

Personally, I love hearing mic'd up and sound FX from the field. However, I do think it should be on a volunteer basis.
