Roethlisberger to practice Wednesday (10/14)

I doubt he'll play but if he feels ready and team doctors think he's ready, he should play

I'm not reading anymore into this other than it's just kicking the tires to see where he's at on this injury and how much of a time table to look at it. It has to happen some point. I wouldn't be surprised to see him back for the KC game.

You'd be wrong

A mild MCL injury or grade one sprain should take 3 to 6 weeks to make a full recovery

A more severe grade 2 or grade 3 injury may take 8 to 12 weeks.

http://www.sportsinjuryclinic.net/sport-injuries/knee-pain/mcl-sprain

A grade 3 sprain is a complete tear of the MCL

Medial collateral ligament injury grading

http://radiopaedia.org/articles/medial-collateral-ligament-injury-grading

different sites state different time periods

my point is nobody said what degree the MCL sprain is

I know the terminology behind each, I am a medical coder.

One is a stretch of the ligament , two is a partial tear three is a complete tear.

It is without knowing the degree, it is hard to say when he is due back. I didn't think it would be sooner, and wallah it isn''t.

I am thinking he will be out 4 to 6 weeks

I could be wrong, I could be right.

It is simply a wait and see issue. Because for some reason it is a secret on what grade the MCL sprain is..........

Not to forget people heal differently.

You don't want to put him back in there with a partial tear, you want it to heal...

Neither is Shazier.

Bryant will be though. Let's hope that's enough to open some things up for Brown. And McCullers will at least be able to give some of the boys up front a rest. Jar Jar sounds 50/50 though.

am glad he's not playing this weekend.

get fully healed and comeback for THE run.
