Roethlisberger Breaks Down Broncos Game on Radio Show

Ben didn't blame AB for the he EZ pick, he just said if the DT wasn't there and AB ran a flat route that's an easy 6 is basically what he said. Tunch said when the play happened, that Pouncey blocked his guy so well he pushed if right into the path of the ball.

But there was ANOTHER defender RIGHT THERE to pick it off if the DT didn't. Their EXCUSES ARE BULL ****.

Come on Slash Hole, keep following me around like a lost puppy. What was long and hard on Slash Hole? 3rd grade.

You didn't grasp the zzzz's? Your shtick is boring.

Steelers fan on a Steelers message board, yeah you are getting hunted down.

Can't make the **** up these idiots come up with.

AB was supposed to run a crossing route basically and cut that defender out, instead he ran like a skinny post towards the goal post allowing the DB to easily cut underneath because there's only 10 yards to cover

Do Ben's eyes not work? It's not as if he couldn't clearly see TWO defenders right in the way. I didn't realize Ben has no eyesight.

Tell us again how "et al" isn't a legit expression....that was funny.

Keep following me around. Your obsession is quite entertaining.

Part of the reason that Korky failed is because of our coaches inability to use his skills more creatively. There should have been 8-12 DESIGNED runs a game to make the D soft so his lack of timing and sketchy accuracy would be less evident. Honestly, there was no reason he could have not have avearaged 50yds rushing a game. But we ran an offense that was playing to his weaknesses. I would scream at my TV because there were times we were throwing more with Korky then we were Neil, which was just stupid. Either we needed to keep him at WR or run a different offense.
I think Falco would have put that more succinctly.

t looked like an rpo to me as well. It just went bad and, to me, we should have had a better play called.

Keep following me around, fatty. You're like a pet....a dumb pet, but a pet.

You opinion again for the millionth time means nothing. You keep thinking you're highly intelligent. But all your Steelers convo's come across like you are either trolling or window licking. Either take the conversations serious or GTFO of the board.

See they are allowing you to stay but you are on a wire. Because most know you aren't here for Steelers conversation.

You are here for trolling and you sprinkle in normalcy to try not to get band too quickly.

You aren't fooling anyone.

You are a joke.

Kordell sucked.

To get back on topic, the idea that Pouncey blocked him so well that he was in the lane is not the Bronco's view of the play. It was by design:

MMQB said:
BRONCOS BAIT BIG BEN AND ARE BACK IN THE HUNT
Down 24–17, the Steelers’ high-octane offense had first-and-goal from the Denver three-yard line coming out of the two-minute warning. Believe it or not, it really took just one defensive call from the Broncos to get the three stops they needed to send Ben Roethlisberger and company packing with their first loss since September.

The front the Broncos rolled out there is a variation of Buddy Ryan’s old Bears defense. We’ll let Denver coach Vance Joseph take it from there.

“It’s our inside-the-five defense—we call it Cub Free,” Joseph said over the phone after the win. “It’s really a 46 defense with an extra defender in to fill. And it’s designed to stop the run game obviously, and then play leverage on the slot. Our D-linemen obviously play the run game first, and then they pop [into coverage] for the pass. So we knew the pass rush wasn’t going to be our premium for that call, but if he threw it, it was gonna be short and across the middle. So we have a low-ball player, and we have a guy popping in the hole. It was a great call by [coordinator] Joe Woods, something we practice all the time. On first down, it was the same defense, Chris Harris makes the play on the inverted fade. The second down, we stop the run. And the third down was Shelby’s play.”

Shelby is Shelby Harris, who spent the first three years of his career on and off practice squads (and became a father for the first time three days ago), before finding a home in Denver in 2017. On the play, he was working off Steelers center Maurkice Pouncey, subtly falling into a spot where Roethlisberger might lose him.

And lose him Roethlisberger did. Big Ben floated the ball just above Harris’ head, and Harris extended up to snag it for an end-zone interception and put a 24-17 win to bed.

Just out-schemed.
