Roby turned down a three year offer from the Steelers. Going with the one year prove it deal from Texans

Ok they offered him something. I feel a little better.

A little.

Wow! Hopefully this fiasco with Bell and Brown won’t discourage F/A’s. That’s odd to turn down three year deal for a one year prove it deal. Lot of risk there for the player if he gets hurt.

I’m also sure that they didn’t offer anything close to $10 million/year aav. Especially because he hasn’t quite been as effective as #2, as he was a #3 when Talib was there. If memory serves, wasn’t he the same guy that Juju burned for 97? I may be wrong on that. Anyways, I think that the other offers were less annually because of his play taking a step back.

Battled consistency issues.....

That would have drove this forum crazy

I believe it was him. He's also the guy that forced AB to "run the wrong route" on the DLine INT

I'd guess the only thing that will take a players eye off a big one year deal is a multi-year big guaranteed money deal. Nobody wants to get locked into multi-years when the market price can suddenly shift. Pick your poison, its a brave new world.

Steelers being blackballed as the town nobody wants to go to now?

NOT sure what the Steelers offered but I agree on what you're saying.

So, was he so good that that QB's weren't throwing his way? $10m for a DB who has never had more than 2 int's per year seems extravagant.

Good. **** him. Go get Nelson from KC
