I would sooner pay him Bell's money than pay Bell Bell's money. He would look good in black & gold.

You have to wonder how bad that achilles is but he has said he'll be ready by camp. Paging Dr. Bradley.

That would be my big question too. That's a big injury. If he avulsed clear off the bone that's certainly a big fix and even bigger to play football at his level. If that guy is 100% healthy I'd snag him in a heartbeat, for the right price.

Friend of mine blew his out diving into a wave in the ocean 5 years ago. Range of motion still isn't what it was. He's not Richard Sherman but he stays fit at 47.

For that money? No thanks not even close. Sherman has always been a clutcher grabber. My guess is after this injury it will be called a hell of a lot more. And when have we ever had a defender like that who got away with that ****. Id take him cheap. He wont play cheap. Id pay Richard Sherman Bells money 3 or 4 years ago. Now. No way

Two (2) blown Achilles. Two. That’s one of the toughest injuries to overcome much less 2 times over. If he is offered anything but the vet minimum with a ton of incentives I would be surprised.

No,he would not look good in a Steelers uniform. Living in Vancouver,I get a steady non stop Seahawks dribble. Watch a lot of games. On tv,go to a few live games. He is not the cb he was, already for the past 2 years. Now with this injury.......no bloody way, especially for what he thinks he is worth. He was living on his reputation, any teams that had the balls to target him nonstop were successful. Not a slam on Sherman,he was a great cb......but now just average.

We should sign the guy. Who cares who this guy has blown.

Ouch man...ugh. I had a friend who was 27 years old in perfect health tear his playing basketball just on a simple pivot. He took it right off the bone. He was good as new 9 months after surgery. Of course he was a CSCS so that helped a lot.

I had a partial tear 9 years ago and it took me an entire year to get back to 100%. I didn't have surgery and rehabbed it myself. That sucked immensely.

It will be interesting to see what Sherman's value is as a free agent. Will he get over franchise tag value?

His stats are from 2011 for ****'s sake.

What does what he did in 2011-2015 even matter? The whole point of "slowing down" is his stats from 2015-2017 are probably not as good as his stats from 2011-2013 (and I will bet ANYONE that is the case, even ******* Richard Sherman).

he's a $6M player with a $13M ego. No thanks...

AND to top it off he has one of the biggest mouths in the NFL. Wouldn't want him representing our STEELERS because if some here think Mitchell was a mouth full, Richard Sherman hold twice as much.

Coach sent some cryptic draft evaluations out, which later was found to be altered from someone else's evaluations.

Ol clip not game watching mo fuckah.

Bad enough the Steelers have to deal with the Bell drama queen media/ money dumpster fire but put up with Sherman's old broke down ***?
No thanks

Two surgeries bad. “Since 2011” 2011 was a long time ago in NFL years.

It’s mostly incentive laden. Actual guaranteed is $20-21 mil. The other 19 is per game bonuses and he has to play 90% of defensive snaps.

20-21 million guaranteed.

A bit more than

If he is offered anything but the vet minimum with a ton of incentives I would be surprised - Ike Taylor

Sherman's game was never based on speed. I think he can still play. Lynch is doing a good job as the new GM of the 49ers.

I never said it was a smart move, I just noted I would be surprised if he got more than the vet minimum, since he is coming off his second Achilles injury. I would be curious who else was in the market and what they offered.

Your Achilles gives you movement in your feet from your calf, like pushing off on your toes or jumping or cutting in different directions. Your speed isn’t the priority but is impacted because everything else is first. Pretty much hard to do anything with a ruptured Achilles regardless, much less the second time around.

SF has a ton of cap space and Lynch can afford to give an inflated amount to assure of getting a divisional rival’s player. It’s also obvious they are letting Sherman bet on himself so as to get the full contract amount. Getting per game bonuses based upon snap percentages is something the owners need to get back into. It worked before. Only when the Jones and Snyder’s of the league started working around the cap structure did we start to see more guaranteed contracts.
