After the game, while he attempted to maintain some level of decorum, Richard Sherman is simply incapable of being someone other than Richard Sherman. He felt compelled to show his favorite party trick where he can dislocate his own shoulder while patting himself on the back.

'I don't know what I did well. I thought covering small receivers was my weakness.' Or something very close to that were his tongue in cheek thoughts for the day.

More appropriately he could have said,

"I was thrilled that I was allowed to hold, push, and sometimes straight out tackle the little guy." And yet, will I ***** and moan and throw a Seahawk? No. I'll just say congratulations Seattle. Well played.

The officials allowed him to wrestle AB up and down the field all game long.. not a single flag.

Never fails, they hype Brown up in all the pregame shows and he flops

Not much AB can do when Sherman is all over him the entire game. Every play he was targeted and every play we saw Sherman covering him, Sherman had his hands all over AB the entire way down the field or through his route. Not a single damn call. He easily could have been called 6+ times and nothing. His interception was the worst. How the officials (at least 2 of them should have had full view of the infraction) could have blown that one is just beyond me. That was the big one. That one pretty much ended the game. I can only hope we get to the playoffs, beat the Cheatriots to get to the SB and then beat the piss out of the Seafucks. That is the only karma the football gods can give back to us this year.

Illegal contact could have been called on Sherman every play.

Richard Sherman looked like he should be working for airport security. The guy was groping AB up and down. Sherman is overrated imo

Guys, we are not the only fanbase that complains about the physical mugging play of Seattle's secondary. This is what they do and the league allows them more freedom than most. Just visit the Cards fan forum or 9ers....they'll tell you its how they play...they see them twice a season.

Seattle secondary is a very good group. The refs made them GREAT yesterday.

That was a horseshit game. I knew seattle would get to do whatever and we would get called for all kinds of ****. They've let the Pats**** do it for years. Just like pushing their 12 year old looking qb well before he was out of bounds and getting a personal foul on it. Bunch of whiny cunts after the superbowl is what that was all about. ******* bs. the NFL is the WWE.

The Steelers got jobbed in Seattle?.... Yawn it's nearly every game; what else is new?. Right now the Steelers have an Offense capable of scoring points, a Defense INcapable of containing a playoff contending caliber passing game and a HC that squanders opportunities and gambles on his "gut feelings"?. Until the Steelers reach a level where the Defense can compliment the Offense and dare I say give the keys to the team to someone that knows WTF they're doing, the Seattle game might have been a sneak preview for the remainder of the season and maybe next year too. The refs can blow all the calls they can, it won't make a difference.

I'm confused. You're saying this as if it's we're supposed to just shrug it off like "eh everyone else says it, who cares?" but if anything, that makes me more mad. Every other team, especially ours, gets PI flags for looking at a receiver the wrong way. Their guys were grabbing, pushing, shoving, face guarding, etc. etc. all game long. If they're always allowed to do this, well then NO WONDER THEY'RE CONSIDERED SO GOOD. Every other team gives up automatic first downs when they play like Seattle does on damn near EVERY SINGLE PLAY, so every other team has had to find ways around it, making it easy for WRs to run free through secondaries. I'm not saying they're not great athletes, but to me I'd love to see how they play when forced to play like every other team. We already lit them up for 450. Now imagine if our all-world WR wasn't getting molested every play?

I feel you on our defense and HC sucking, but to the bolded: the refs DID make a difference. Sherman's blatant illegal contact shoving AB to the ground was what allowed for his INT. The next play we got 15 yards for a late hit on a guy who was STILL IN BOUNDS, which led directly to a TD. It not only handed them 7 points, but it took potentially 3, 7, or 8 off the board for us, and completely swung the momentum and feel of the game.

My issue is that the Steelers knew Sherman was not going to get called and they kept going at him. Why? You're eating them alive with Wheaton, Bryant and whoever the TE is at the time. I don't care about Brown's stats or Sherman's stats. Win the game by outsmarting them. If they want to use Sherman exclusively on AB then win the game with the other players. I'll take the Steelers 2nd, 3rd, and 4th WRs over the Seachickens DBs any day. Force them to move Sherman to cover someone else OR let them die by it. Throwing at him plays directly into their hands.

BTW they had 2 weeks to prepare for this game and this is the best they came up with... wow

I'm sure Sherman and the Seahawks have taken even more fan and media abuse than the Steelers this year and you can rap him all you want. But you do need to read his comments about both the fans and the media's ability and knowledge to make evaluations.

Someone needs to put his quote on Brown's locker....

It's all a big joke now...the NFL being a serious league, that is. Total, utter bullshit. I'm sick of our "stars" being smashed around like practice squad players with no penalties forthcoming. Meanwhile, our "star" players can't even cough in their direction without 7 flags being thrown.

Local sports radio was saying that Seattle sports hacks were the ones saying that Sherman couldn't cover smaller WR's. It was a dig at his local sports media, not AB.

Richard Sherman just jumped into my top 5 hated players.

He's been in mine from the start... I loved when Trent Williams smacked him the face after the one game.

Meh I do not like Sherman, but after the game he gave props to Ben and Brown which I was surprised at so I have to give him some respect.

P.S> I bet everyone on here would jump for joy if he came to the steelers...

over the last few years the refs had not been allowing enough contact. Breathe on a guy and they threw a flag. This year they have allowed more contact which is good, but they allowed way too much contact in this game. When the refs call interference/holding at either extreme it ruins the game.

I agree. I don't think he's a bad guy. It's not bragging when you can back it up. And yes I would jump for joy if he came here. Too bad we're in cap hell for eternity.

I don't want Sherman anywhere near the Steelers, do you honestly think he'd be allowed to get away with his style of play here in Pittsburgh?? He would instantly get 2-3 flags a game and then become completely useless after he stopped grabbing, pushing, and all the other little "tricks" he gets away with in Seattle.

Uhhh "obviously" we have maybe found the primary cause for some of the coaching blunders?
