Report: Mike Tomlin Tests Positive for COVID-19

See this just got me choked up and upset. Sad that others won't be effected but man I hate to see this. I can't respond enough to you.My inbox is always open if you need to talk.
If I could like this a million times I would. having just lost my Dad to Covid.

Hope he recovers and then he will have the antibodies to fight against the virus.

Covid has been ****** to many, many people and we need this nasty virus to go away forever.

Get well soon.

Yep 500,000 (soon to be) are dead from Covid. I am sure their family and friends appreciate people that feel it is safe to do as they wish. They get Covid and spread it to others that die. I feel it is selfish that people can't wait out a vaccine but maybe that's just me.
But, but it’s just a bad flu.

Fully agree slash. If a close person to you dies from it your tune changes pretty ******* quickly. Especially if you are the person that goes out all the time not respecting the virus. Bringing it home, spreading it to your loved ones. Can you imagine the guilt some people must have right now knowing that they have killed members of their own family because they were selfish.

So many people on here only want to make it political. The blame each other game. So sick of it. Nobody wants to see everything shut down. But if the governments around the world had not shut **** down , how many more deaths would there have been? States are approaching 500,000, more than twice ww2. If they hadn’t closed up shop their might have been how many more? Never mind the run on the hospitals. It would have been a catastrophe. It’s already at epic proportions and could get much worse.

My poor daughter is waiting for surgery in Australia. She is in horrible pain. I shed a tear for her every day. I can’t go there. All surgery’s have been called off in many countries of the world, unless it’s life threatening or cancer. Or of course if you are a professional athlete. Another ******* topic I won’t touch. It seems a lot of people on here think people are a bunch of ******* because they are staying home more often, not traveling, wearing masks, and generally trying to do their bit in trying to beat this virus.

It’s funny. I think they are the *******. A little self sacrifice for your fellow man. Banding together for the good of all. Is it really that hard. Mistakes have been made obviously. No one wants to be told what to do obviously. If it’s one of your own people you will think differently. Get a grip people.

I might want to add. Get well Coach Tomlin. Godspeed on your recovery. The ******* in me says, if you need bed time in front of a TV, watch the first half of the last 9 or so games of the season. Only if you’re into horror shows of course.

If you want to see some profound dumbfuckery, go to the Politics and Religion board and look at the posts from April and May. They mocked the estimated 200,000 deaths. They haven’t learned a damn thing and they never will.

Did Tomlin get COVID or cancer?

There is a reason why only only those 65 and older are currently receiving the vaccine...because they are the most susceptible to dying from it.

This is me----Mask...sanitize....social distance...I get health screened at work everyday and I test as much as possible...

I'm just following the science, frequenting establishments that are open and considered safe by my Governor, supporting my local businesses and hard working Americans that are glad to see me walk through the doors..

If I'm "permitted" to go to work without "killing" anybody..
Then I don't see why I cant attend local establishments that are willing and able to accommodate me and my family safely..
Distant relative of mine died from it in April although he had other health issues like COPD. A bud of mine in FL just got out of the hospital after three weeks with it and almost died.
I come down on both sides of the issue. It's bad **** and masks and closing businesses don't do a damn bit of good.
Naturally our state govt doesn't know WTF they are doing because I'm classified 1A because of both my occupation and diabetes and still on a waiting list because I'm younger than 80.

Amanda Kloots would like to have a word with you. BTW I actually prefer our senior citizens to pass from something other than a biochemical weapon. Silly me

Out of the 100's upon 100's of active players and coaches both in the pro and college ranks that have contracted COVID, how many have died?
I'd guess close to none. Prayers do work.

BTW the first wave of vaccines went to people in the medical industry. A lot of them are of the younger variety. I guess someone is smart enough to know they can spread it to people who are sick causing early deaths. **** they are sick anyways they should just let them die right? I'll say a prayer for yinz tonight.

What the hell is the big deal of people wishing another person well because they are sick?
Man.

And as if we don’t all know it affects people 65 + far more seriously. As I approach 60 I guess I think about it more. My poor mom and dad in their “retirement village “ going through hell not seeing anyone shut down I guess they are just expendable.

As I said in my longer post. Mistakes were made and will continue to be made. Regarding shutdowns. I dunno. I’ve got 4 kids. I would have loved to see 60,000 fans @ Heinz Field against the Browns. Would I have liked to see my 4 kids with their grandparents cheering away with no masks. Ummmmm no.

Hopefully coach T has a speedy recovery. I personally had it, we got it from our future son in law, he works at a warehouse and like it or not, those jobs are essential and if you're going to work every day you run the risk of getting it, and he was in our bubble. I wasn't ever worried about getting it, I almost never get sick, and when I do it's mild compared to what everyone else gets in the house, if my wife has it for 3 days or so, I'll get it for one, or not at all. All that being said, this thing sucks. I was sick for about a week, and it's a weird *** sick. I work on computers from home so I was able to slug down the thera flu in the am and work every day so I didn't miss any time, but there were days where I was in bed like an hour after I finished work. The joint pain and the pounding headache were the worst of it for me, and the shortness of breath. I'm still trying to get my cardio back, I have bicycled over 34,000 miles since 2006, and my lungs are pretty damn strong, but I am still getting winded going up a flight of stairs. I had it the last week of November, so it's been a few months. The joint pain comes back from time to time too, but it's sporadic. I'm only going to say this about freedoms and rights, if you go out, don't be a douche, wear a damn mask. If you feel comfortable going out and about, and you know an older or at risk person, try to think of them and see if they need anything while you're out. Once the vaccine is available to everyone, my opinion is we full on open up and let Darwin do his thing.

At any rate, get busy living or get busy dying.

And, just to add, my mother in law got it, she is a nurse, and she ended up in the hospital for almost two weeks, and was damn close to getting that damn ventilator. So it's def not just the flu, since she's been a nurse for almost 30 years and has seen flu after flu.

Joe
