Report: Chris Wormley Back With A Two-Year Deal

The Pittsburgh Steelers have reportedly re-signed defensive end Chris Wormley to a new two-year contract according to a tweet from Jordan Strack. Wormley was acquired in 2020 in exchange for a 5th round pick from the Baltimore Ravens. No details on the terms of the contract yet.

Chris Wormley is re-signing with the Pittsburgh Steelers. It’s a 2-year deal, I’m told.

Wormley will likely continue to serve as a rotational piece along the defensive line for 2021.

I would have Buggs and Davis ahead of him on the depth chart.

When he was signed last year, I think most thought he would get more playing time but they pretty much didn't use him at all. Not sure if he was injured.

If that is a fact its a problem. Wormley is at ceiling and wasn't much of a factor. At least Buggs or Davis might make a jump.

Not big on him but the Steelers must have seen more than me. I guess I was just thinking like we have three bodies back there hoping one is adequate kind of mentality. But yeah not big on Worm overall. Just wishful thinking.

Let's not forget alualu is getting long in the tooth, this might have been the main reason to let him go

I'm bummed we let Alualu go. But it doesn't matter much. We usually only have 1 or 2 DL on the field at a time anyway, and that's Cam and Tuitt.
