The Pittsburgh Steelers have reportedly re-signed defensive end Chris Wormley to a new two-year contract according to a tweet from Jordan Strack. Wormley was acquired in 2020 in exchange for a 5th round pick from the Baltimore Ravens. No details on the terms of the contract yet.

Chris Wormley is re-signing with the Pittsburgh Steelers. It’s a 2-year deal, I’m told.

Wormley will likely continue to serve as a rotational piece along the defensive line for 2021.

Ok for depth. Perhaps they like him over Buggs or Davis.

Brian Batko called this on SNR this morning.

Good move should be used more with Tyson gone use him more as a 5t and kick guilt or cam in he did not play well in his limited snaps at the nose

When he was signed last year, I think most thought he would get more playing time but they pretty much didn't use him at all. Not sure if he was injured.

You were critical of Buggs in another thread. What have you seen from Wormley? I've seen exactly nothing.

Not big on him but the Steelers must have seen more than me. I guess I was just thinking like we have three bodies back there hoping one is adequate kind of mentality. But yeah not big on Worm overall. Just wishful thinking.

I thought he would just run back to the Ravens. I am glad he signed with us

Tyson was visibly much better. <scratches head>

I'm bummed we let Alualu go. But it doesn't matter much. We usually only have 1 or 2 DL on the field at a time anyway, and that's Cam and Tuitt.

Could it also be, that maybe Tyson wanted to go back to JAX where he started his career? Who says PIT didn’t offer him the same contract?
